Does anyone ever give their pipe tool a little love? I did today and almighty is it clean! How, pray tell? Ran that sucker through the wash in a pocket, that's how! Didn't initially know but the drier certainly let me know (clunck, clu-clunk, tick tick clu-clunk)

LOL ... yep! I recently ran a cob tamper through a wash/dry cycle and it survived just fine.

Don't try that method with a Samsung Galaxy...bad juju. Damn... my phone could use a good cleaning. Guess I'll have to settle for wiping it down.

Of course, that's how I clean my pocket knives and guitar picks too.

Seems I have cleaned a few pens with this method, simultaneously ruining a few pairs of jeans.

I have a Czech tool that I've used on every single bowl I've smoked in the last 16 years, thousands of bowls, and when I wipe it off with a paper towel it still looks as good as the day I was given it for buying a tin at a local B&M, go figure!

There is a seller on the German Ebay who sells them in bulk, 30 or 40 in a bag. Now I know why.....

I lost four Czech tools last year and picked up four more losing them all before long. My wife blamed it on my advancing age. She said they disappeared along with my sense of humor.

I use a single square of toilet paper and that gets the job done just fine.

I own several very nice and beautiful custom tampers, but I always keep the Czech tool with me. I will sometimes use two tampers during a bowl, I use the Czech tool for the false light and to tamp the second lighting, then use the fancy tamp during the bulk of the smoke, then clean out the dottle with the spoon on the Czech tool. I suppose I'm just odd that way.
