Working my way through Season 4.
If you are not familiar, modern day rural Wyoming, although filmed in northern NM just down the road from me not that it matters as they look much the same, Sheriff Walt Longmire deals with the murder of his wife while pursuing local corruption and the frequent crime. Much tension from the Cheyenne Nation who are admirably represented by Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips), Hector the Dog Soldier and others including the main villain. Walt is supported by an impressive female Deputy, a second Deputy who is an incarnation of Lou Costello, and a trusty lady office manager whom the writers ought to develop. Personal stories interwoven with crime and mayhem, his county must be the murder capital of Wyoming as they drop like flies every episode. Walt is well acted by Australian Robert Taylor who seems Western enough. Rainier Lager features prominently each week which is only right. Walt bounces along the back roads on his trusty old Ford Bronco and the occasional horse.

Tripped me out the first time I heard the lead actor, out of role speak Austrailianese....😉 He looks and speaks the part of a western actor.
And... Lou Diamond Philips father is a quarter Native American, but having a Filipino mother, he convincingly looks Native American..
We fell out of following it, not for lack of the quality of the show....one worth watching.
