2:30 am who in their right mind gets up at that hour for no reason. PS 701 in a GBD prince trying to figure out how to grind coffee beans and not wake the wife up. If you don't hear from me you will know I failed at this task.
you need a manual grinder for emergencies like this!

Always a pleasure to see one of Sid's pictures first thing in the morning. Much, much better than Billyklubb mug who posts just before I get up. The Horror, the horror. Anywho it is Piccadilly in a Spanu with Komodo Dragon done espresso style in 16oz mug with cane sugar and a touch of cream.

Half way through this bowl of C&D Crooner in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega with a black vulcanite stem. A bottle of Boylan's Birch Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink. I'm feeling now that I like the Birch Beer better than Boylan's Root Beer, which is no small feat! Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Woke up to snow this morning. We seem to already have about a half inch of sticking snow and it's supposed to be snowing for the next six hours or so here in Denver, CO. Feels like Christmas. What shall I smoke? I have been in Denver for the first snowfall of the year. Let the bumper cars begin! People in Denver think they are immune to physics and can drive on ice and snow at any speed. And they love to splash pedestrians with the slush. Smoke something that keeps you off of the roads for as long as possible.
it's not just Denverites....

Last smoke of the night is MacB Golden Extra in the old HIS. Our youngest was reading to me earlier. He's been stopping on words he doesn't know and sounding them out instead of guessing.
this warms my heart!

Morning all. Overcast and cooler this morning. Looks like rain on the horizon. Anyone heard from Maggie? She seems to be absent of late. Hope all is well. Loaded up a Scottie Bing with some Uni Flake. Coffee on the side as usual.
i was being held prisoner in an undisclosed location in the dead zone of WV forced to cook for my husband, brother and son while they hung gutter on our cabin before we winterized the place, lol. fortunately there is a screened in porch and i got plenty of opportunity to smoke and enjoy nature, as well as a mountain storm

Now smoking RO Series Acadian VaPer in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Molly's chasing after the ear plugs I've been throwing her. Suzy is busy supervising with her eyes closed.

I'll have some Mixture #79 too in the dedicated, meer lined green ceramic Billiard with white stem and chrome band; an Ebay* special. More java in the mug. Keep the embers burning. * total 10 years ago was $2.56 with shipping. hard smoked, I cleaned it up and at 26 cents a year, I feel I have just about gotten my moneys worth from it.

Good evening from Athens-Greece. The other day i stopped for a while to take a picture from Nature and i saw this dog coming from a lonely house near by. She was a "mammy" as my wife said and i guess that she was looking for food but unfortunately we didn't had any available to give to her. She played with us and when it was time to go she was crying and as i saw the owner of this dog [an old woman with bad manners] didn't care so much for her. I felt a little bit guilty that morning because i couldn't help and let's hope that her puppies manage to survive. I am smoking Ashton Gold Rush in a Pipex, cool water beside me.
