A middle of the night smoke of Newminster Superior Navy Flake in a John Blunt Number 11 Billiard. The cats, "Kipper" and "Hoppy" woke me. What am I doing just laying there when I could be playing with them?

Emp in the pipe of the morning with black coffee alongside. Its 30 f for the first time since March and I'll be in a tree. Deer activity has been down the last couple days but this swing in temps will help. I'm hoping my thoughts match their movement today and I get a chance to bring one home.

Now smoking Esoterica Penzance in a 2002 Larsen Port trumpet with an acrylic stem. It wasn't so long ago when I smoked this all day and never had to worry it wouldn't be available. In fact all of the Esoterica blends were almost always available at my local B&M.

Part way through this bowl of RO Perique Series Blend P-37 in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Watching Thriller!
