Hello my name is John Brandt I purchased Wilke pipe tobacco from Carole Burns in July I just wanted to introduce myself to the Forum. Being in the business for 23 years when I had the chance to buy Wilke I jump on the idea the last 2 months have been very busy with a new web site www.wilkepipetobacco.com and bringing back some of old blends. We take pride in buying a company that has been in business since 1872 so we follow the same recipe as the Wilke sisters and Carole followed. So let me know what you think about our blends and any question please forward. Or you can email me at wilkepipetobacco@aol.com or the old fashion way give me a call 508-717-2948 look forward to chatting.

Thanks John for buying the company and keeping the blends alive in an age of uncertainty in the tobacco world thanks to our elected officials. I know of Wilke tobacco's by a great reputation, but I have never tried them...I look forward to trying out some of your blends present and future.

Hi John. Welcome to this group. It is a great bunch of people. Glad you are continuing production of the Wilke line. I found #10 earlier this year and it has become a favorite of mine. Hoping to order some from you in the near future and also try some of the other blends.

You have a nice website. Now to find some budget for more tobacco.
Does the shipping estimate work out well? Just curious, also, how is tobacco shipped? I need USPS here.

Hello John, being recently introduced to some of the Wilke blends, I can say with confidence that sales should be good. The few I've tried have been amazing, and I'm delighted that they will continue to be available. Thank You for picking up the torch.

A welcome from SE Louisiana also. I've read a lot of pipe smokers who like Pipes & Wilke blends but have never had the opportunity to try any myself. I just looked at your website and added 4 or 5 blends to my Christmas wishlist for the wife.

Hello we have been adding some old blends as we move on we started with 28 blends and I think we have 36 posted now. We ship USPS it's normally a 2 to 3 day shipping and the shipping price is a flat 7.75.

John, with the disappearance of Nut Brown Burley... what do you have in your lineup that is considered a Burley blend... other than your aromatics?

Thanks, John.
If I could make a recommendation about the website, it would be very helpful if people could browse blends by their type. Ie. English, VA, Aromatic, etc.

wow, some great sounding blends there. I'll be making a list soon. Welcome to the group! I have reviewed quite a number of the Wilke blends, and will be reviewing a few more soon. Also, I'll be getting a few samples of ones I'm very familiar with to compare to what Carole had made before.
