Hi Folks, A friend told me about this forum and invited me to join so, here I am! My name is Chris and I am just a young spring chicken at 64 years young. I only started pipe puffing in May of 2015, so I'm a relative newbie as far as the art and form of pipe smoking is concerned.
I'm glad to be a member and look forward to meeting another great bunch of pipe smokers!

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on uploading my avatar? The picture I want to use is a small .jpg and is 150x150 pixels. I have selected the use upload/link on the left side but every time I try and upload the picture it says," Error uploading picture. Please try again." I've tried several times but same error. I also took a stroll through the help section but didn't see anything there that mentioned 'avatar upload'

Click the Home link at the top of any page, and you should see this:  Click your user name, not the Update Status button, and you get this:  Click the Edit Profile button on the right for this window:  From here, click the words Upload/Link on the right, and you should see this:  From this window, you would click Select Image. No way a 150x150 .jpg is bigger than a MB, so I'm thinking you might be in the wrong place. |

I had the same Avatar upload problem. On his own initiative, Sparks, imported my avatar (thanks again) from the internet for me.

Hmm, you're certainly doing it the way it's supposed to be done. If it were me, I'd upload the jpeg to my Imgur account, and see if you could link the image from there. If not, I'm sure the owner sparks (Justin) would upload it from your Imgur account for you, like he did for frogs. The error message sure doesn't give you any info on why it won't load!
