stumbled upon this forum, it looks like a fine place after doing a little lurking. I've smoked a pipe for 20 years straight , fell off the wagon and smokd cigars for 20 more, pipe on an off after Balkan Sobranie disappeared, came to my senses 6 months ago or so, haven't smoked a cigar since. Loving all the Balkan blends now available. Succumbed to PAD so badly that I've made about 6 pipes, restored and repaired about 40 more. TAD made me buy about 20 lbs of tobac. Looking forward to all your perspectives on this foggy experience. Smoking HH latakia flake right now in a 3 1/2 inch deep pipe I made just for flakes, and it works!

Thanks for all your welcoming comments, especially you all that I see from other forums. For those who asked to see some of my recently made (hausgemacht) pips, I'll post a few in the pipe making thread for your titillating. For the gent who asked where in PA I am, not too far from Bethlehem, about 20 miles north of Scranton, in the Endless Mountains regìon. Looking forward to what looks like a good forum. Glad I discovered it. Cheers.

Welcome slowroll. Glad to have you here. Considering your proximity to Bethlehem, you should consider attending the Lehigh Valley Pipe Club meetings. papipeguy can give better details, but I think it's now the last Tuesday of the month at the Wooden Match in Bethlehem. Morley's Pipe Club in Philly is worth a visit as well. That is usually the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Pen & Pencil Club in Center City.

I'm about an hour and 20 min from Bethlehem, over 2 to Philly. IF I find myself nearby any time on those days, I will check in. I think there's a pipe club near Wilkes Barre, which is a half hour or so. I'm so agoraphobic in my old age I hardly go anywhere.

Quite coincidence, I go to Sweet Valley periodically to a reloading supplies shop. Thanks again all for the welcomes, I'm enjoying this forum already
