I went to my son's for Thanksgiving dinner, and took a tin of Out Of Office Gone Fishing with me.The blend is a caramel topped aro. I've never tried a caramel topped blend, and my son had not had a "new" tin before. So after having a bit of a laugh watching him try to open it, I then educated him and we proceeded to smoke a little over half the tin before getting yelled at for not socializing. It's a good after dinner smoke, kind of sweet.Great with a strong black coffee.
To day though, I'm on a "diet", EGR in my Bulldogs. And of course more COFFEE .

Hey guys, hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and is continuing with a great weekend. I've been smoking various tobaccos and forgetting to check in. Let's see, past couple days it's been blends like Smoker's Pride Rich Taste, C&D King Cake, and chewing GH & Co. Rum Twist inside.
This morning I started out with Smoker's Pride Rich Taste in an MM Mark Twain cob and just a bit ago I finished some D&R Rimboche A.P. in a Savinelli unfinished 904KS with swirled yellow/gold acrylic stem. This tobacco is a perfect VaPer in a perfectly dried perfect pipe cut. The amount of tobacco you get extra for it being dry feels like several extra grams are in the tin, even though it's a 40 gram tin. Plus, Mark Ryan personally opened this particular tin right in front of me to check it and make sure the moisture was right and there was no mold inside before I left. It's not nearly as high in Perique as say C&D Bayou Morning, but sometimes you just want a bursting with flavor VaPer that isn't really peppery and spicy strong. This VaPer is more like a tangy, sweet, and chocolate flavor all the way throughout the smoke.
Getting so cold out now that I'll just cut off a hog leg of Rum Twist and chew that after dinner and decide on a pipe for later.

Started out the evening enjoying a bowl of Carter Hall in a freehand Olive Wood beauty.
Am now smoking a new to me blend... Orlik Golden Sliced in a beautiful Edwards Smooth Billiard.
I have to agree with JimInks on this one, really not tasting much perique and it is not bitey at all.
Not an every day smoke for me but will definitely stay in the rotation.

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon of about 47 degree temp (that's about 8 for you eurozone folk with the funny thermometer) and did some trap shooting while smoking Odessa in my tractor pipe.
