Congrats. I know you'll appreciate it. . . . . . btw, do you know what tobaccos William Conrad smoked? I've heard Amphora Full, and I've also heard he smoked a lot of Dunhill blends over. Pipe will get the real deal now in the hands of the master.

William Conrad appeared on the cover of TV Guide in 1971. I wanted to show a photo, but apparently Imgur doesn't allow that sort of thing. So I can't. I didn't know that when I started this post!

To my untrained eye...it looks like it could be the same pipe?
It is now a Jimrad pipe!

How did these pipes become available? I'm sure there is provinance Conrad's estate sold them off to at least two different sources that I know of. In this case, Jesse bought the two he gifted me from Gus' Pipe Shop shortly after Conrad's passing.

At the time that I bought these, nobody cared about celebrity pipes. They were just used pipes. I was a regular customer of Gus' Smoke Shop in Sherman Oaks California. I just happened to drop by and saw row after row of Charatans resting on the counter. Naturally I was intrigued and I asked Jimmy, the owner, what it was all about and he told me that they had bought the pipes from Conrad's estate and were evaluating them to see which they could recondition in-house and which would have to be sent out. Then he asked me if I would like to buy any. Of course I said yes, and bought two. I've gifted both of them to Jim.
