Well today it becomes official. I can now drive down the road 5 to 10 mph under the speed limit just to piss you off. Or if I want I can fill my car with a bunch of redhat wearing women and drive slowly. Or I can drive down the road with my turn signal on and leave it on for miles. Or I can honk my horn when you pull in front of me. And I can make left or right hand turns from the middle lane
Why, can I do this? Because today I am officially retired.
Also on this day in 1951 I was hatched.

Happy birthday, and congrats on retiring! It's good to see that you set some goals to achieve during your retirement years. I'm quite fond of leaving my turn signal on too, but I'll probably eventually get shot in a road rage incident.

As long as you're not wearing a hat. My mother always said, "never drive behind and old man in a hat." I'm 72, so I can say that--but I still go 15-20 mph above the speed limit  . Happy retirement. Best thing about it is sleeping late. |

this must be PA wisdom because hubby (who grew up in NE PA) was told much the same thing. He, in turn, imparted it to me. It tends to hold true. Whenever we come across a slow-moving vehicle we automatically say, "Must be an old guy in a hat." It usually is, though on occasion the fellow isn't wearing a hat and hubby remarks that it must be in the seat beside him, lol.

The new hobbies will include and not limited to. Learning more about turning wood. Racing and bashing electric and nitro rc trucks. Kissing off and making the wife shake her head in wonder. Going to the Drs. office. The best of all is to be able to enjoy a pipe or take a nap when I want.
