My dog woke me up early this morning at 0315 Eastern DS time. Couldn't get back to sleep because I have a job interview this morning. Just had some breakfast and am now enjoying a bowl of Peter Stokkebye Amsterdam in an Albert John billiard. Been smoking this blend exclusively for the last week or so in order to quantify my pipe tobacco consumption rate.

Going back for seconds on the CB. Logged into Goodreads and realized I am 3 books away from hitting my goal of 20 for the year. I need to step it up. Gotta quit wasting my spare time shopping for tobacco and pipes. haha I have all kinds of high end tobacco, but I keep a nice large canister of Captain Black Royal handy. To be honest, I like it as well or better than most. On my personal scale, I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

A chilly 20F and partly cloudy at daybreak. Starting off with Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in a straight, smooth, two-tone Savinelli 2000 Pipe of the Year, drinking hot black coffee and listening to local talking heads on the radio.

Emp in the pipe of the morning. Black coffee to drink and I'm thinking this pipe needs retired. It is the first cob I bought and it should live for the weekend smokes.

My dad introduced me to pipe smoking and that's what he smoked.

I'm about halfway through my first pipe of the day: GLP Piccadilly in a 1997 Dunhill Amber Root bent bulldog with a repair band and Cumberland stem. This was one of my dad's pipes and I treasure it.

Awake against my will, but it does beat the alternative! Starting off my smoking day with Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 1982 black sandblasted paneled slight bend Savinelli flat bottom sitter with a black vulcanite stem. A cup of Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. It's sleeting outside and it's supposed to turn to snow. I'm staying home where the lazy roam.

Big pipeful (pauls Cayuga oom paul) of G&H Balkan Mix before I get to work on my house. Not much posting or smoking yesterday. My insurance company said they'd cancel me because I don' t have a railing on a narrow deck on part of my house. Soooo, putting up a railing. Really wanted to do that in 29 degree weather. (About minus 2 for you Eurozone folk ).
