Sea Wolf is a good movie. One of the first few I went and watched. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that even with Amazon and Netflix and newer streaming services, they don't have the rights to many of his films. Or many other classics, for that matter. I've noticed this too; it's what keeps me from suscribing to Netflix. I've heard that Filmstruck and WatchTCM have a much fuller catalog but they aren't available down here. I wonder if films are like literature in that they become public domain? If so, anything published prior to 1922-1947 could be now considered public domain depending on the circumstances. I imagine we could start seeing a lot of that old stuff show up on places like Netflix if it is free for them to use.

There are other conditions that can change that, and apparently this was reviewed recently and stays this way until 2019, then films from 1924 enter public domain and then each year .they get added, and etc etc... *Note, not a lawyer nor did I stay at Holiday Inn ...... one reference www.teachingcopyright.org/handout/public-domain-faq.html

Smoking a tasty home concoction in a MM Marcus.
1x Part Peter Stokkebye: Peaches n Creme 1x Part Peter Stokkebye: Proper English 1x Part P&C: Blending Dark Burley
Really good as is, but I think I'm going to tweak the mixture to 1xPeaches, 1.5xProper English and 2xBurley to give the flavours a bigger canvas to spread out on. Actually just recalled how much of a kick this burley has. haha I should probably keep this at a single part and another, less nic-heavy burley as the second part.

24 degrees F this morning. I began my day with a bowl of GLP Piccadilly in my Dad's 1997 Dunhill Amber Root bent bulldog. December 13th is always a tough day, as he passed ten years ago. I'm grateful for the time I had him and that he was a great father.

That is why I wanna beef up the latakia by half-again more and then double up on burley to tone it down overall and suck up some of that sweetness. I am only using the Proper English to empty the jar so I can order a fresh batch. Once it is gone, I will just be adding burley and blending latakia to the mix. It is really good. Like eating preserves with smoked sausage and crackers. haha The ploughman's lunch of smokes.

Lunch was veggie rotini topped with chopped red onion, black olives, diced tomatoes and pepper alfredo. Smoking Rattray's Old Gowrie in a Grade A James Upshall Canadian, drinking ice tea with lemon and listening to ESPN radio. This will be the next open tin to go down. I split some hairs and went with Marlin Flake over this one for the cellar; however, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tobacco. Very good smoke.

The US seems to have a bad habit, in my opinion, of extending copyright laws for literary characters every time Mickey Mouse or Superman are about to enter public domain.
