ODF RR in a Goussard zulu, appropriately starting this Thor's day. And strong black coffee on the side. Will try and sweeten the work day with Edward G Robinson's Pipe Blend in a couple of cobs.

Emp in the pipe of the morning black coffee and 9 f. With the whisper of a breeze that there is, it sets the breath to freezing in the moustache. Thankfully we only got 4 or so inches of snow last night.

Getting ready for bowl 16 in TBP POTY, with OJK, still charring shank, however wood taste is greatly diminished now. It’s a great little pipe. Next up the TBP POTY CG break in. Likely will be my Anglers Dream dedicated pipe.

Went down to 39 degrees F (3.9C) and bone dry last night here in the West Kendall section of South Florida, which is unheard of for us, particularly since only 3 days ago before the front descended upon us the daytime high was 87F (30.6C) and humid. When I lived up north I underwent really cold winters, but not in my experience such steep and sudden temperature drops. Certainly never in South Florida. This is what some used to call pneumonia weather. Anyhoo, after a two-bagel breakfast to warm up a bit, and a mug of Caribou coffee, I am now enjoying the remainder of a dgt'd bowl of Amphora Original in a Comoy's Golden Grain bent billiard, with an obvious replacement stem.

Going to finish a long day with some Black Frigate. A few friends coming Saturday to party, so I guess I'm planning a feast and shopping tomorrow. We've had this party every year since we all got back from the Army. We call it Man Christmas. It was born of the idea that Christmas kind of sucks, as you end up sitting around on your mother in law's couch with a niece or two tying ribbons in your hair while you yawn and talk about the weather. We all decided to have a day to celebrate the way we wanted to- Eating, drinking, and otherwise doing whatever we want. No chicks and new members have to be voted in the previous year. haha I'm thinking haluski with bacon and maybe some shepherd's pie among other things will be on the menu. I'll probably make a crock-pot ham as well. I like to go way overboard- I know how much food guys can eat in a day/night of binge drinking when there are no women to feel self-conscious around. haha Wish my grill was here and not at camp. Someone mentioned Mexican style corn and it's all I have been thinking about. That is just brilliant! I bow to the younger folk! I retire my poker chips in your honor!
