My vote goes to the Alvin & the Chipmunks' version of 'We Wish a Merry Christmas'.

I had songs I didn't care about when I was younger. However, most of them I find listenable these days. Used to dislike I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus until I heard a few versions that were musically appealing. Love hymns, classic songs, etc. Oh, I guess there is one I don't care for. Even though a Springsteen (in his old days) fan, I don't care for his Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Any of the modern re-makes by pop stars pretty much. Heard a horrible one from John Mellencamp yesterday.

There was one that played constantly when I worked overnight-stock at Home Depot back in college. I can't remember what it was.. It is as if my mind has buried it. It used to make me wanna hit myself in the head with a tack hammer.. But yeah, I hate all songs with a high-pitched voice that sounds like the girl is from 1920s Brooklyn. Mommy Kissing Santa Clause, Santa Baby, and Hippopotamus are all good examples. Also anything that sounds as if it were done by contemporary artists like pop-country stars, rappers, or christian rock bands will turn me violent in no time at all. I'd rather listen to the dogs barking Jingle Bells than Reba Macintire slobbering out a childhood favourite. As far as what I like, I love all that old Bing Crosby crooner style stuff. I also like traditional orchestral and choral arrangements.

The Little Drummer Boy in versions that make it sound like the background track for a suspense movie, in a scene in which someone is about to be killed.

I can tolerate most of the Christmas songs .... it's the sales ads on TV that irritate the holy hell out of me! This one in particular .... forget about the wine lady, tell the kids to be freakin' quiet & use their indoor voices or kick them outside!

More often than not it ends in me vowing to never give a company business if I see too many of their commercials. This woman's voice brings me closer to the edge of a psychotic episode than anyone knows...

Today, while riding with my wife, I had to endure that damned Burl Ives song, "Have a Jolly Xmas" 3 minutes of hell. Makes me want to axe murder a convent of Nuns...lol

Man, some of you guys are outright Scrooges.
While there are a couple Christmas songs that I prefer not to listen to, in general Christmas songs remind me of the good things about this time of year. Religion aside, time spent with family and friends and trying to give more than I receive.
Not really sure how you can go wrong with any of that and if you remind yourself that's what this time of year is supposed to be about, you might relieve some of those Christmas song headaches.
