Back when I smoked cigars regularly my favorites were from Nicaragua.
But I never correlated the different tastes of the cigars I smoked with regions. Seemed to much difference between sticks from the same area different brands to really figure it out.

Brazil- I've had some puro's that topped almost anything else I've been using Brazilian leaf to make Puros and they are really good. Here's some 2010 crop Mata Fina wrapped in an aged Red FCV leaf:

That's a beaut! Nice red color and not many veins. Never went deep on the Brazilian smokes.

That is a nice looking cigar. I love the flavor of the Brazilian leaf in cigars.
I hope it tastes as good as it looks.

I've purchased in the past, many cigar brands from different countries that I've enjoyed. The tobacco's used for those cigars don't necessarily originate from the originating country where the cigars are bunched, rolled, and placed in the aging rooms (unless you are talking about a Cuban cigar where the tobacco's come from many places on the island to a few selected factories "and" independent rollers at certain hotels). With that in mind, I do enjoy from time to time, cigars from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras, and a few from Mexico. Even quite a number that have been rolled right here in the USA by a former immigrant from Cuba (who had started his own shop in Los Angeles, CA. He had worked for many years in the old Partagas factory in Cuba). He has left us unfortunately, but he rolled quite a number of very fine robusto grande' in EMS and Maduro wrappers while he was living, and I enjoyed quite a number of them too...

Most of my favorites are Nicaraguan, but I like some Dominicans and Hondurans as well. Never had the pleasure of smoking a Cuban.
