Beautiful. Pipes, tobacco and a bass. Time to channel some Donald "Duck" Dunn. Party on, Garth.

Go Steelers and pretty sweet bass too Dino. Better stay on your toes though if you want to keep that lady around. Those young bucks are always out and about.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas.
As for Blondie? Yup, great gal and a wonderful mom to our 3 kids.
The Peavey T-40 Bass? Luckily enough for me, it was a graduation present from my folks back in 1981. It was new in box when I got it.
I'd played a 69 Fender Jazz for years but sold it back in 87. The Peavey will never be for sale. ;-). Just re-strung it and realized that the action was too high. Also realized that I somehow misplaced my truss rod wrench. No worries, got on amazon this week, will have the new one on Monday.

Even a sweet jazz bass needs some dirt, Dino. Diirt. Feelth. Straighten it out, then make that sucker naughty

Favorite bassist? Chris Squire did things on a bass nobody else was doing at the time. I saw Rush three times in three different cities back in the day and Getty Lee was the best at transferring his bass from the studio to live, incredible reproduction. I'd be remiss if I didn't toss in Greg Lake too although I never saw him live. His Fanfare for the Common Man is pretty awesome bass work. Stanley Clarke rates up there with the greatest. Different genre but the stuff he did with Weather Report was break out work at the time.

Never missed the Fender after that. It's a beaut, Dino

Really digging that Peavey bass! The Peavey guitars from that era are some of my favourites and in my opinion some really overlooked gems. Solid construction, great tone, and they're made in America!

You're right Justin, It's a great bass. Incredible tone choices and a dream to play. The only problem with it is that it's an anchor. It weights a ton! Not the easiest instrument to be globe trotting with, on and off of trains, planes and automobiles with... (ask me how I know) ;-)
