For those of you that enjoy this one, I got a notice that Smoking Pipes has the 250g log back in stock. Limit of two per customer. Not in the cards for me this month. It is excellent, though.

Does this ever come in a tinned version or smaller size than 250g? $85 is a steep test deposit (with shipping).

I've looked a couple of times. Like PH, but bought the more favorably priced PH tins. That $85.00 total is 8 to 10 tins of equally tasty tobaccos by competing brands.

You enablers! I ordered one. If I don't like it I think we should have an egg coloring contest and the winner gets it.

Pete, if you find you don't like it, I can send you a few pouches of Middleton's Cherry for it. 💩🤡

I added a few tins for free shiping. Something like Guy Oberto from Savinelli and some Mixture 79 for Charlie.

I like it, but would say that if you never smoked it you would not have missed that much. It IS a very solid chunk of tobacco, so have a very sharp knife handy.

Thanks for confirming that I’m not loosing my mind. When I saw the $85 mentioned, my first thought was "Wasn’t it less the last time that they got some in?"

It is a good VaPer and $85 for 250gm is pricey. Look at it this way... How much would five 50gm tins cost you at your local B&M with state taxes? That would be $17 a tin which is about B&M price in Michigan. Ditto sablebrush52's regarding needing a good, sharp knife. The logs are thick (2”?) and dense.

I look at this way: if you bought the same weight of Dunhill Navy Rolls, it's virtually a wash, depending what e-tailer you shop with.

It's a 8.81 oz (250 g) block/roll. Can send you pics and anything else necessary to also validate that I'm real. :-) -Jon

I asked, because they changed the recipe...I don't need any, I have plenty of the stuff when Peter produced it, just asking a reasonable question. Scroll down to my post. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/8865/peter-heinrichs-curly-blockHaving said all of that, I really like the blend. Although they changed it a few years ago, I bet it still smokes very well. I think that the next time I smoke some I may try the coffee grinder method, the grinder may throw a blade in the process.

Oh no worries! I'm actually not super familiar with that sort of block. Picked it up but never ended up trying it. I saw someone say you might need a diamond blade to slice it...was that a joke? Must be crazy hard if so!
