probably have to have purchased one type so many times. SP reallly needs a guide on those things.... I went back to the top of the thread and looked again at the link that trailboss provided and found the answer there. Stockpiler Bronze is 50+ of one tobacco blend. I am guessing that this is tins and not bulk ounces.
aha! and, I made it to Silver Badge for tobacco meister now to work on earning a badge for italian pipes (namely, savinellis) lol

I must have another account because I don't have anything before 2016 on my orders. I just wonder how much you need to spend to get invited to Smokingpipes cocktail and dinner parties in Chicago??

I can ask Sykes when I see him. Last year in Chicago, I spent some time smoking Japanese cigarettes with Sykes and Josh (SP General Mgr) in the SP penthouse suite where they have free booze and espresso in addition to pipes to oogle.

Yo daveinlax - to get an invite to the special SP dinner, it helps to have them know you have a large accumulation of desirable collectible pipes. SP has done an unbelievably excellent job with the secondary market for pipes. If their financial management is anything like American automobile dealers', they make more money at used/preowned pipes than new pipes. Not saying they're vultures or anything, but their business model is set to make money from you (your estate) after you are gone and no longer puffing, or PADding and TADding. Maybe their fine print has an exception for Castello 55s?

Well, I ain't no VIP, though I do have a Silver, Old Friend, and one other badge that I've just forgotten. I guess I just haven't bought enough from them to matter, sniff, sniff. At this stage, I doubt I ever will, as I've finished off most of my buying, though I did add 10 tins of the McClelland 40th today. That's just such a super blend. I buy from whoever has what I want at the price I'm willing to pay.

Now that I think about it I ordered more like $300.00 worth of tobacco and pipes in the last two weeks alone. **OK, end of rant** I am curious as why I was downgraded though.

I am curious as well, never having heard of this happening..
