I've seen this photo before. It might be a pipe. Certainly no way to hold a martini lol... I don't give a damn whether Hemingway smoked a pipe or not. It was a casual remark based on my research in college.

This is William Faulkner. A wonderful writer and pipe smoker. Continued with Standard Mixture Mellow. True story, when I was 18 I was working as the lowest man on a painting crew and was sent to prepare a house that the company was going to rehabilitate. I cleaned the house thoroughly and found in one of the rooms a copy of Absolom Absolom, a used condom, and an open pack of shotgun shells. Since then I've been curious about the state of mind of the person who moved and left those specific things there.

zambini: that scenario sounds like (and in my mind's eye) seems like an opening scene in a modern film noir movie.

Got back from Sam's and flopped in the recliner. Nearest thing to hand was what I hadn't put away. So, because I am lazy, Wilke #515 in a Radice Rind billiard twin bore oil cured billiard with the faux bamboo carving. Ice cold water on the side.

That's it? No comment from Mein Truculent Freund? first bowl, David. I would add that these Holger Danske tobaccos are deserving of wider recognition for fans of classic Danish style tobac's.

Ogs in the rm perkins ballerina a sitter that doesnt look like it should balance. A fair measure of jim beam rye in the rocks glass with the monolithic ice ball making a return appearance. I'll shoot a pic in the summer when I'm not hiding in the garage, but I have a mold for making 2" diameter ice balls and they are singular and impressive in a rocks glass.
