Cumberland pipe stem: pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/cumberland-stemone of the replies hopefully answer the question. I had a few...softer by a little than regular Lucite (for those with sensitive teeth). Sorta bad news...definitely will oxidize but not as quick as black vulcanite. Esp at my age, no time or desire to invest in de-oxize equipment. Any vulcanite stem pipes long ago are now Lucite. More time enjoy smoking, less time maintenance. Hope the above helps. Got up early for a dentist appointment. Now having a second morning! Smoking a 50/50 mix of Autumn Evening & BLWB in my MM Legend inside (too damn cold to be outside) with coffee and oatmeal. The Autumn Evening smells like fresh pancakes. Happy Monday to everyone. Thanks for reminding me. I have 3 pounds of that and haven't attacked my gigantic glass barrel for a while It's good stuff! |

Dtm midnight ride in the zenith kerstmis 1981 small calabash. I messed up this stem needs deoxidized nothing like the taste of salt and sulfur. It is a nice comfy cool dry smoker though and no bite on this baccy that burned me before. Drinking luke warm earl grey.
