A quarter of the way through this bowl of 1960s John Middleton Philadelphia Mixture in an early smooth Radice Tiger Eye G medium bend pipe with a bamboo-style carving on the shank with a black acrylic stem. Going to take a forum break for the rest of the day. See you folks later.

Some thirty - forty year old American Tobacco Company Bourbon Blend in a Stanwell Bent Pot. Good stuff I wonder where they got the 40 year old bourbon?

Rattray's: Exotic Orange in a Savinelli Bruna #123 Pot. Cranberry juice for the palate. You folks posting in the January thread, enjoy those smokes! I think cranberry juice is the ideal way to cleanse the palate after gumming it up with Exotic Passion. Followed by a couple of fingers of Laphroaig.

H&H Larry's Blend in an older Savinelli army mount bent that I spliced a new stem onto to save the Sav. Logo. Interesting how the oxidation of the original piece returns quite quickly

I think I have smoked 5 bowls of of Orange Passion over the last few months. I just finished one in a Tobacco Chandler meer lined pot purchased just for this tobacco. I have never enjoyed a bowl of this blend in the least. It tastes like potpourri when you first light up, then like burning orange peels. Half way down I start to taste the tobacco, but not in a good way. I went outside for a few minutes after the smoke and when I came back in, the house smelled like garbage, in spite of a sugar vanilla candle. This is just bad and is going away. I may put it in a potpourri dish and see what the wife thinks. Kiwi strawberry juice on the side.

This morning, my new pipe arrived. . . I didn't have time to try it until about an hour ago, but it was worth the wait. I smoked a bowl of D&R Windsail in a Basil Meadows long shank brandy with a brass band and Cumberland stem. I'm happy now.

Just finished a bowl of my Biplane Balkan in my first decent pipe purchase, some 40+ years ago, a Jarl sorta acorn. Has always been my favorite smoking pipe, shame it's so small.
