Pink Floyd Animals. It was released 40 years ago. A lot of fans didn't like it or understand it. But it was my favorite. Something tells me folks weren't smoking briar pipes when the heard this the first time😄

Something tells me folks weren't smoking briar pipes when the heard this the first time😄 That album has always been a favourite Floyd record. Most people find that strange. A band I really like just recorded their take on Dark Side of The Moon as a tribute. It's a great listen if you're into The Sword or Pink Floyd I absolutely love Sword's rendition of Time. Gets really amazing at the end too.

I remember the night before I shipped off to Army basic training. I was 19 and scared as hell. I listened to this song and stared at myself in the mirror as I shaved my punk-rock hair off and realized in growing horror the insanity of signing that enlistment contract. haha It all worked out in the long run, but I will never forget that long, sleepless night of chain-smoking alone with my thoughts.

Many consider this as the best recorded version in history. If anyone listens to it, I hope the at least do it through good headphones.

Builds up to a great climax, should be listened to on big-arse speakers too.

Tonight the 2 year old fell asleep to Queen's Don't Stop Me Now. It's the 5th song in our playlist which goes as follows:
Killer Queen Fat Bottomed Girls Bicycle Race Somebody To Love Don't Stop Me Now
I can't remember what comes next because she's always asleep by that last one. It's a good night if she's out before Somebody to Love is done.

Catchy tune, island vacation time Another Island Vacation song, IMO (A little repetitious, but a good song):

I might have already shared this, so forgive me for not leafing through all the pages to check.
A song like starway to heaven is so iconic, I would never imagine that anyone could pull off a cover copy. Much to my surprise, my daughter shared this awhile back...Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart really nailed it....the drummer is Jason Bonham, son of John Bonham....John and Robert Plant were very tight and his deat greatly affected Robert as you can see by the emotional reaction. This is from the Kennedy center where they received the medals for their contributions to music. Quite touching.
