San Franciso by Elvis Phuong
My Brother in Law is Jo Marcel, who was a quite popular singer in Vietnam before the fall. He came here, worked on cars and did work for Catholic Charities helping Vietnamese assimilate here. He has done many shows, but also helped other singers older and new. His last CD, years ago, was a compilation of singers doing oldies. This is from that. Jo Marcel let us raise his daughters, for which I am eternally grateful. He's older now, but a classy guy, which his 11 ex wives won't tell you. I do hope you all will listen to this. It's in Vietnamese and English

Tom Petty today and for the next several. Too damned young to leave, Tom. RIP.

I think I will lament SRV's early passing for the rest of my life. He is easily my favorite guitarist. Wondering what other great songs would have come from him. It would have been so nice to have him around for a good long time, like BB King or Buddy Guy. I truly hope that he is playing in the afterlfe when I get there one day.

Same here, Don. He will always remain one of my all time favorites. Your comment made me think of that Righteous Brother's song ... Rock n Roll Heaven:
If you believe in forever, Then life is just a one-night stand. If there's a rock and roll heaven, Well you know they've got a hell of a band.

Nothing right now. I rearranged my stereo equipment a couple of months ago to accommodate some visiting relatives and I haven't put it back yet. When I get it set up again, I think I'll listen to some Bach by Glenn Gould, and some Laurie Anderson, maybe her Bright Red album.

Crapgame Thunder struck was a real treat . My little Infinity Reference 10's where jumping like beans on a hot tin roof . String Beans killer was released in 2014 after serving 41 years . His brother died while in prison . OF special note twenty thousand dollars was found hidden in the fireplace when they tore down the old home . Check out his ground breaking attire still used today . linkIf you haven't heard the Mobile Fidelity SACD/CD version of Kind Of Blue, you should absolutely buy it. It's the best sounding version of the album you can own.
