I haven't had a problem, but it did sell since then this isnt a rumor. I like the selection there its just a 3 day ship to michigan instead of a 2 day like I get with spc or p&c.

Traded with 4 Noggins a few times several years ago. Heard it changed ownership. Any of you dealt with them recently? There is new ownership. I placed a small order Friday and received an email confirmation from Jeff Tomei. I had also read on the forums to give the new owner a clean slate. There were some very strong political opinions held by previous ownership and created some friction.

The nuclear melt down you're referring to took place on their facebook page. Completely unprofessional and in very very poor taste. Most folks that know me know that I'm a pretty conservative fella, but am a live and let live kinda guy. But I always kept my political convictions out of my business life. The previous owner of 4Noggins displayed such rude behavior that I vowed to NEVER spend a dime with them, regardless of selection of savings. Here's to hoping the new owner(s) conduct themselves in a more professional/acceptable manner. Dino

I have used them 3 times in the last couple of weeks. All 3 times I had my tobacco within 3 days of ordering. Very fast and packaging was top shelf. I have used them for years and never had one issue.

My last order with them was Oct. and no problems. The change of owners might explain the fact that they raised some prices on a few things, and did not put Esoterica blends online when they got them in. Unlike others, I used them because of their political beliefs.

I had my own issue with the old owner, similar to issues already mentioned, so stopped ordering from them. After the change I ordered a blend only they had i stock. As an online shop, before and after the ownership change, I never had an issue. Good notification and good shipping times. All packages were packed well and delivered as promised. I would order from again, if they were the only ones in stock.

I appreciate the info guys, and won't hesitate if the need arises. I recall excellent service, but that was a few years back.

I used to trade with 4 Noggins until I read the owner's controversial comments on Facebook. Now that they are under new leadership, I will buy from them again.

I appreciate the info guys, and won't hesitate if the need arises. I recall excellent service, but that was a few years back. Rich did provide great service in fast shipments, but when he stepped on his family jewels, I suspect it hastened his exit from the tobacco business. Reviewing my history with him I bought from the "loss leader" sales.. So I have no hard feelings.... Glad there is a new owner, but Rich had good timing on exiting the market as the FDA chickens come home to roost...Vermont maple syrup is probably a better gamble.

MC cellar on the "Specials" page for $65 consignment..... That's even worse than ebay. "2017 vintage" it says in the description.

There consignment pricing compared to some like Steve at Pipestud is way expensive, even higher than currently on Ebay!

There consignment pricing compared to some like Steve at Pipestud is way expensive, even higher than currently on Ebay! The old owner had a big European clientele who are used to paying higher prices. I sold a bunch of tins back in 2012 using 4noggins and was very happy at the prices he got me.

Rich had some good house brands. I think he was getting tired of the business, but previous to the "explosion", he was pleasant to deal with.

I bought from Rich three or four times. I saw one blowout in Magazonia, but there was some backstory that was not obvious and I don't know what it was. But I am listing the things I liked here so it can be compared to the new owner.
Meticulously packed in good, firm box Shipped fast. Arrived from East to Midwest in two days. Baggies used for bulk blends was top of the line, and pricey, as I priced some. Has some great old fashioned mints and gum Better price on Butternut Burley than the company that makes it

For me it’s an excellent Burley. Rich always treated me well and I did not let his political views get in the way of my John Patton’s blends. Which I have PLENTY of, all 3 of my favorites. Two of which are no longer available!!!

...really no issues with the new owner but with Rich I did have issues over orders... I had an issue with Rich several years ago as well (nothing to do with politics). I stopped doing business with them until recently when I heard it was under new ownership. No complaints since then. The prices of the items I've purchased were in line with the other on-line retailers.
