Ron, I have a story about the Remington Nylon 22. My son in the 82nd Airborne is in Desert Storm, I take his nylon 22 and ship it to Remington and tell them I want to surprise my son when he comes home. I don’t hear from them and about 2 months after I get it back, just like new, no charge and a card signed by the workers who worked on the rifle, thanking him for his service. I cannot explain how I felt and the tears that poured over me.

Wife and I came down to Dallas for a night. Probably ambitious to bring the baby along. I'm about to shower then head downstairs for breakfast. I'll probably go have a bowl of Two Timer once I've got a Texas shaped waffle in me. I love those waffle machines. We bought a Texas waffle maker for the house, but it doesn't compare to the motel makerd.

I cannot explain how I felt and the tears that poured over me. I have only heard good things about the rifle and the factory service. Mine hasn't had any problems and it looks almost new. I have only owned a couple of Remington products, but they have been perfect. What did your son say when he saw it?

That must have been a bit scary, nonetheless. I hope you get it lowered quick enough. Yeah, everybody was talking stroke. It's down to about 160/115 now. Which is almost "can't pull myself out of my own tracks" range for me. Dropping b/p that many points that fast kind of does thing to your head. I still feel a little fuzzy. Not incapacitated, just...fuzzy. A little cloudy. Hope I don't get a fractious stud colt tomorrow that catches me sleeping and takes my head off. How're you feeling? Any unruly colts leave you looking like Ichabod Crane?

I'm feelin' pretty good, thanks. My b/p is down to a manageable level. I had a stud colt yesterday throw himself over and down in a stall, and I got most of the way clear. No lasting damage. I can't really blame him, we were gonna castrate him, and he objected. But we finally got him sedated, and the rest, as they say, is history. I actually have more energy through the day now, and my head is definitely clearer.

That's good to hear Dewayne. Now that I'm older I should probably get mine checked out again.
Beautiful day today, think I'll go clean out and wash the car. Not that it really helps it, but why not?

I'd try to kick the crap out of you too if you were trying to castrate me! Can't blame him at all. Glad to see you are doing better.

Do you know what it takes to be a Gold? Unless there is platinum at the top, I am guessing Gold is for the wheeler dealers who buy pipe after pipe. Before you told me you were silver I figured I was the only one and at the bottom, and every other piper in the world was gold... just to put me in my place

I never bothered to notice until you mentioned it. That’s okay, I’ll stay “ silver “.....not into that “ shtick “!! Hope you and Xuan are having a great day with many more ahead 👌👍👍

Car is cleaned, inside and out. Head is shaved. Beard is groomed.
Time to watch it get dark in the backyard with a pipe in my mouth. Nice, quiet country life. Turkeys are gobbling. They better watch out, Turkey season opens Saturday morning. Although, I dont think anyone except the Bobcats hunt them around here.
(I'm silver at SP as well. 4 badges)

You never realize how much you drop on the floor until your back is out, and you have to strategize how you're gonna pick it up. True that. I remember I hurt my thumb once and I was astounded at how much I took it for granted. You never know how much you need something until you don't have it. I cut my thumb last night with a razor trying to take a label off a cleaned out jar to make room for some Candy corn baccy. Everything I did last night hit that little cut on my damn thumb

I was feeling great yesterday. Today I was kinda slow waking up after all the excitement. 😉 Then my wife reminded me that I had to pull up the rebar that was holding the landscape timbers in place around the old flower beds, before the yard man comes tomorrow. I pulled out 20, including 2 that were through roits. 1 more was in a root and after swinging a 6 pound sledge for a while after the ball peen, drilling hammer, and maul didn't work. The sledge didn't work either. I hammered it over at an angle and then worked it with a piece of pipe until it broke off below the ground. Then I picked up a bunch of limbs and trash and I tripped stepping up on the porch and wrenched my knee. So, back is sore knee and hip are dueling with rapiers. Quarter pain pill and another at sack time and hoping to not wake up until it stops.

I have to go to the florist this morning to order flowers for a friend's funeral. The Education Coordinator for our MC was killed in a motorcycle accident last Friday on the was to teach a class on motorcycle safety. A really nice woman and a great friend. I just can't help seeing the irony, but I don't find any humor in it. Karen F. was her name and her family can use your prayers.

When the weather breaks up here I'll be right with you trying to get the yard in shape. Sorry to hear about your friend.
