I prefer to work. It's my vacation from real life. It seems that my sickness has finally passed. Glad to hear that. Now, back up the ladder! ๐๐ค Yeah, I've got the whip to crack!!! If I can get my arm to work properly.

Cooked prime rib for the third year in a row ,yesterday. We invited five people, for a total of seven, so the roast was a six rib, fourteen pounder...only three people showed up, and I gotta say this was the best one yet, cooked one and a half hours at 500, then left in the oven for two hours , after first being coated with a mixture of spiced, herbed butter, then a layer of salt, the end result ran the company nutts!! I keep a hot skillet near the carving board for folks like me ,that don't like to hear the cow mooing, but even the sister-in-law, who likes to cut off a slap as the cow runs by, was very happy. Sides were baked potatoes, and sweet potatoes on the Webber, green beans with bacon and hot rolls...some lite-weights had room for pumpkin pie and coffee, but it was very late before I could handle a half slice with topping. The folks that called out missed a fine meal ,and we gained some tasty leftovers.
B.T.W. I'm not crazy; the skillet I spoke of is only for a very fast, and light seer, I'd never mess up a great cut of meat.
any vegans in the room were not meant to see the post above!!!

Picture of content^^^^^^

Amphora Burley in the Malaga Saddle Club Lovat saved the day yesterday after an aborted test of the Karl Erik Ekstravagant with Amarula flavoured Planta MMVII. No wonder AllenJay quit; I would too if thatโs what zig had to smoke!
Yuck!
Footnote: The Erikstravagant is my least favourite of the collection. Much too fussy with a cleaner; the shape is too near a calabash not to be one and the resulting freehand resembles a blob.
However, good news is that this afternoon Steve Laug of RebornPipes.com is coming over for a session!

Man, you have to cut that out!
My Ex-Wife took a fall last month, broke her hip and had to have it replaced with a titanium/stainless steel. Not fun. So, please, watch out! I do not want to have to come over there to wait on you following recovery from surgery.
I am sorry you fell. I do the same when on irrigation duty stumpling over trip hazards. The good news is I mostly fall on grass and earth. I try not to fall into the irrigation ditch but it can happen.

May have to get tested to see if I can be an organ donor for my brother...may be saying goodbye to a kidney...it is a matter of life or death. Have to travel to get to see him, get tested to see if we are a match...so I may not be around here for a while.

lol. I also noticed there was oxidation on the stem. Who would leave a pipe like that out in the sun? Anyway, they should take off $50 for that.

Yeah, I'm hoping we match...he is 81 and I'm 76...neither is a spring chicken, so if I am not a match...let's just say it doesn't look good. I may have to move so my wife and I can take care of him...living back in Miami is not something I want, left there and never planned on going back...so much for plans.

We should get Marty some roller derby pads and a helmet. Your a good man Walt. Glad you feel better Josh. I will get a air fryer for five bucks used once at the thrift store this year. I don't have any grandkids yet I hear they cost several grand to spoil them, hence the name.

My brother saved my life back in the 70's...won't go into what happened, but I owe him so whatever I can do for him, I will do. Wife is the best thing that ever happened to me...if it wasn't for her, I would be dead by now...several folks will understand what I am talking about as they went through the hell of addiction too. Sometimes we don't care enough about ourselves and have to find someone that cares more about you than you do yourself.

Unfortunately my loss of nerves and muscles is permanent. just hoping that I don't end up breaking a hip and getting pneumonia and then dying in the hospital which is sometimes the case my neurologist keeps warning me about.

There are organizations in my area that serve as assisted living suppliers for aiding mobility..the Catholic church is regularly mentioned here in the southwest. And: www.harborfreight.com/pneumatic-roller-seat-61160.html?_br_psugg_q=stoolallows you to scoot around better, other companies had armrests built in, the tray at the bottom is for pipes!

I've got all the mobility aids I need. canes, walkers, powerchairs. It's the lack of muscles in my legs that are required to keep me upright that's the problem.

Two things I want to say... Penzaholic, so sorry to read about another fall. I hope that your fears are never realised. pepesdad1, you, my man, are a legend (and I love legends). I donated bone marrow for a leukaemia charity, but I don't miss it and it wasn't a chore for me... This is a whole different ball game. Good on ya, buddy.
