Still listening to Conspiracy stuff. Had a wonderful Gabbagool and Moozadell Sandwhich. Getting ready to light some Sutliff Red Ribbon in an unfinished Sav slight bend Canadian Billiard. Bully the Lionhearted is sitting by Xuan, who is going after all the Vietnamese Commies on YouTube. Not a joke. I am pissing people off on Twitter. I am officially blocked by Jake Tapper, an honor I wear proudly. Edit - The thing with Red VA today is to find one to take over from McC, though I have never had a McC VA. Just wondering what the hoohah is all about Scotty's Bulk Blends - Old Red, seems like it's always out, but I liked it in the past and try to order it each month. It may well be McC, dunno, but I think you would like it. From P&C of course.

Done with Coffee. Smoking C&D Red VA Cavendish from today's mail in a perfectly packaged SP Box Still listening to Conspiracy stuff. Will be trying to get back into studying Amateur Radio Rules, though that does not affect my Outlaw Radio. This C&D RVC is pretty righteous stuff. I was into SWL 50 years or so ago. Had an old Hammerland HQ110 receiver, I think it was a 110, long time ago. Every now and the I try to find a receiver that didn't cost 2 arms and 2 legs. Was going to take my novice but then got busy with the arm and then married, lol.

garry Scottie's blends are good, but way pricey. I bought Butternut Burley from 4 Noggins and saved over ten bucks. Right now, I am not planning on buying anymore from P&C due to that packaging issue I mentioned in a thread. I have a giant Grundig Receiver and a Sangean Portable, along with monitors, a Baofeng Transceiver (bought to learn about HAM), 2 FM and 1 AM broadcaster. I did a radio show in HS, just one time, and was hooked. The teacher loved it so much I saw him keep that show in his file cabinet, while he did not do that for the others. It was a natch. Everybody else did hard rock shows. I did a Fifties show. Anway, aside from some random conversations with the Greys from Zeta Riticuli, I'm not that experienced

After 2 or 3 days of trying different tobaccos I am back on Distinguished Gentleman in a Ukrainian Author. My tin of DG was so lonely I opened it up and it reached out to hug me. I am not sure why more English Lovers don't give this a try.
Was nice last night to have the sunlight out a while longer. Most of the days recently have been dark with clouds, so the day we get extra light we get sunlight, too.
Bully the Lionhearted has discovered the joy of laying behind me in the bed/office with his tummy sticking towards the window. He's no dummy.

Reporting before bed: Seems like every time I fire up Chatham Manor expecting it to come close to CH I get a burnt rubber taste. Shame, as I have two tubs of it.
Curse of Oak Island: Yes, they did find some compelling stuff this season. They actually came across a dig from the original pit that has eluded them. Some bone from a middle Asian and a European that date from 1650-1750 at a a 160 foot level, where no bone from that era should be. A garnet jewel with a cut and the type of garnet leading to believe it was from (if I recall) the 1500's. A style of lead cross that dates it to Templar times.
Curse of Civil War Gold started last week. Yes, more Conspiracy Heaven for me. The first show, which I have only seen clips from, they find a Confederate Coin. I'll be happy to see if they ever show that as there are very few of those and almost all fake.
Jack the Ripper: The Diary issue comes back again as they act like they have new info on the provenance. They have someone who can claim he was there when they discovered it, but that comes nowhere close to proving it is real.
Bully the Lionhearted is finding new ways to talk to us. If we say something to him he squeaks his toys in response. Today he actually gave a few very low guttural growls, not of anger, but of attention getting. This doggie has been so quiet. I guess we've had him three months now. He slept so much the first month we hardly knew he was here when we weren't directly hugging him. Next month he started to alert us for the mail or people coming within sight of the house. This month he's trying to divide as much time between us, staying by Xuan or coming by me. We may not be perfect parents, but we love him dearly.
Faithfully submitted this day, Douglas Niedermeyer, Omega House (for the Animal House Fans)

Thanks to sparks for the re-title Getting right back on the horse I lit up some Chatham Manor in a Shire Cobbit. Last night I cleaned my pipes with bourbon and feel an aftertaste, but no burnt rubber. The Shire Cobbit was a pretty good purchase, as this is as long of a churchwarden as I would like. I bought one of those cheaper wooden ones. It's really too much of a pain to hold it, as is my 17inch Ukrainian Churchwarden that looks like a repurposed table leg. As mentioned in a few threads, we get our food delivered. One of the ways we get fresh food is from an organic dealer. Prices are higher, but no delivery charge, ----- Brought this up, as I was not buying things like fresh chicken due to cost. I just read something that may change my mind ------ It takes five chickens (store bought) from today to get the nutrition of a chicken from the 1960's. Reason is because chickens are basically raised in a factory, not a farm. I may give Free Range or Organic a go. I guess about forty years ago a girlfriend and I went to a Kosher Butcher Shop and picked up some chicken. Due to their standards we both noted that this one some of the best tasting chicken we had. May get into sorting some Hot Wheels and Matchbox while catching up on Civil War Gold. In the meantime, this CM Tobacco is smoking more like it should

I smoked a few bowls when they first released it and gave it a pretty poor review ... definitely not a CH replacement for me. As a more budget-minded bulk, I think PS Cube Cut is a nice replacement and much better tasting than CM.

Next time I am in the mood for CH I will try the PSCube and see if it does it for me as an alternative.

Mixed some Sutliff Dulce Le Leche with Sutliff Chocolate Truffle. The DLL was more butter and less Scotch, similar to CCP&BN, making it good, but a little savory. Probably use it as a mixer. Burning it in s Cob Diplomat Going to be looking at History Channel The Men Who Built America, Mountain Men. Another subject I read on occasionally. Growing up in the burbs I was surprised to see some blocks from our house a small cemetery right on a important route, Eddie & Park Rd. The fence was broken, the grass overgrown. Not as populated back then it would have been a nice place to get bitten by a timber rattler. Undaunted, Billy and I went in and I got tons of ookie spookies. There on Eddie and Park Road were buried... The Eddies and Parks! I had never seen a gravestone for someone born in the 1700's back then. Push forward 35 years and doing some digging on Mountain Men I find the name Sappington, a famous family in the area. Turns out he was a mountain man and in looking him up, the name Thomas Eddie turned up. He was a famous one, though nowhere near Bridger, Tecumseh, et al. Somewhere in between, I dragged Xuan out of the house late one night to find the cemetery and go through it. Her English was not as good as it is now, but I fully understood, "You're weird." Today there is a sign for the cemetery and it is groomed a lot better:

HG-2000 in scrooge Rhodesian Water on the side I used to drive my truck by this everyday on the way to Miler Ham. I never noticed it. It may have been so overgrown at the time I didn't notice it. I believe the dimensions are about 10x12, no bathroom, but a fireplace. It actually looks fairly cleaned up. Historic in that it is pre-civil war, and though they haven't excavated they (They, Inc. Those in the know) believe it was part of the Underground Railroad. This is near the historic Lemp Mansion and Lemp Brewery that gave Budweiser a run for it's money before Prohibition. There are famous caves under the mansion that Lemp had put a swimming pool and theatre in. If I knew who the owner was I would make an offer. I have some Captain Black Grape for trade. I love Saint Louis History. Just wish it weren't in Misery

Just finished listening to my aunt drone on and on for near two hours on why she wants to take a trip to no where in specific. I had nothing to add but platitudes and now I feel like a poor nephew for complaining about all this.

I hate to think how my interests and passions, when conveyed to others, must be so incredibly boring. Striving to be an attentive listener and a less frequent talker.

You might underestimate yourself on your interests and your listening ability. Boris Badenoff always said, Never underestimate the power of a schnook. Not sure how that applies, but I felt inspired

While smoking some J4 Burley, I see this article about lowering nic in cigs. I know it doesn't apply to pipes, but it's a trend. Don't they already have low tar and nic cigs? Partial Article Pasted. Full article at link www.msn.com/en-us/health/wellness/fda-seeks-to-lower-nicotine-in-cigarettes/ar-BBKfCvJ?OCID=ansmsnnews11The Food and Drug Administration plans to try to lower the amount of nicotine in cigarettes to make them less addictive — an unprecedented move by the agency. FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said Thursday the agency would propose the rule, opening a long bureaucratic process. It's the boldest move yet against cigarette makers by the FDA, which only got permission to regulate tobacco products in 2009.

@cosmicbobo you have to admire the rhetorical jiujitsu necessary to have cigarettes be smoking cessation products. My friends from Spain were telling me that Mexican cigs are way stronger then EU cigs for what it's worth.

My friends from Spain were telling me that Mexican cigs are way stronger then EU cigs for what it's worth. Exactly how I feel. European (as opposed to modern day) cigs were a little lighter and had fewer chemicals back when I smoked cigs. I believe they were lighter because they were more natural. You are probably right on the Mexican Cigs, as I don't think they try to conform to the rest of the world's BS. Probably an over-simplification. As to rhetorical jiujitsu, you can see it all day long on C-Span.

That was an inappropriate comment on my part, totally out of line. We’ve both been here a long time and I respect your opinions. Any way we can hit the reset button and go back to when we were buds?
