I have been fighting this chest cold for almost a week now. I finally got meds yesterday and haven't had a pipe since last Friday night. I feel like a Buddhist that hasn't been able to meditate for a week. I have received quite a few tobacco shipments lately including a one pound bag of Mac Baren HH vintage Syrian. To get just a little relief and meditation in, last night I jarred up the bag. I enjoyed the bag note and am really hoping I feel good enough tonight to load a bowl and not cough my lungs out. This bi-polar weather we are having here in Illinois is the problem I am sure. This is not about nicotine or a habit for me but like most of us it is the ritual of preparing the tobacco, loading the pipe and letting your thoughts stray or go blank for a while as the white cloud floats through the air. Sorry, just getting this off my chest. I hope everyone is doing well health wise out there.

One thing I take when I am fighting a chest cold is Mucinex (generic). Mucinex Spray will clear your sinuses in 5 seconds. Also, whatever new version of Pseudophed is out there. They don't use Pseduo Ephedrine anymore, but Phenylephrine. It does not wire you out and does improve breathing

Yeah this flu is nothing to brush off... my wife works in a hospital and almost all the beds are flu or pneumonia that developed after the initial flu set in.. BAD STUFF!

I had it about a month ago. It was miserable. I think it took about two weeks for it to be completely gone.
Good luck and get well.

Meds have kicked in. I had a bowl of Stonehaven and a bowl of HH Vintage Syrian last night. I am glad that I bought a pound of Vintage Syrian...it's very delicious. This morning I am feeling well and smoking a bowl of Hiland Cigar Black Gold...one of the few aros I will smoke. Tastes wonderful with black coffee...I am back on my smoking game my friends. Thank you for the well wishes.
