Add a respectable 89 new members since this original posting and 600 by early June should happen. Enjoy seeing the site grow and the input that new memberships contribute.

To say that the growth of The Briar Patch has been gratifying would be an understatement. When Justin spoke with me about starting this little venture I was full on board thinking that of we got a couple of hundred like-minded folks we would declare it a success.
The vision was simple, develop a place where pie smokers of all stripes could congregate, feel welcome and free from any drama that can creep into forums.
Well, the outstanding members here have exceeded our expectations and made the forum what it is today. So, well done all of you. Reading posts that show the close friendships developed among you is its own reward.
Happy Smoke Rings to all; live long and prosper.

Although I post very little I find myself checking the Patch several times a day just to see what's going on. Grateful to have found it. Also it's nice to go somewhere and see civilized conversations

While the new membership is commendable, Visitor web traffic seems to chart on the low side. Makes me think think the Patch isn't placing very high in forum searches.
