Oh my Lord! Hi Dave, you ARE going to Chicago... RIGHT? There could possibly be some Red Breast involved and some very aged Stonehaven. If there's anything else I can bribe you with to get you there, let me know. Good to see you and welcome. I'll be there Basil. I'm sure I'll have some tobacco that you'll like too!

welcome from Charleston, WV! will you be at TAPS? my husband would love to meet you, you are living his dream! he was studying wildlife science at Penn State before he got injured and lost his scholarship. he then enlisted in the Marines and spent 4 years at Cherry Point. he is still hoping to get a farm in the middle of nowhere.

Unfortunately the only show I can make this year is Chicago but I hope to make TAPS next year. I am not sure I'm living the dream (certainly some folks nightmare) but the stresses of daily life are more palatable than a 9-5 job and a mortgage- for me.

hubby would agree. he'd like to be in the middle of nowhere growing his own food and fur trapping in the winter. we'd raise fiber animals and i'd spin my own wool to crochet with

Yes and I am almost caught up for the first time in a year- but I will not be taking on any new work until after Chicago. Every time I walk into my shop blocks of briar curse at me in Italian, Greek, and Spainish; they are tired of waiting to be pipes. 2. I have many many photos of Coyote, my constant companion. Here she is bass fishing. Well, I was bass fishing and she was eating sticks.

Hello my name is Dave aka Spillproof. I live "off-the-grid" near the Trinity National Forest in Northern California. I'm a marginally employed wildlife biologist, a pipe tinkerer, a homesteader, and a third generation piper. This looks like a great community and it's a pleasure to be here- I look forward to reconnecting with some familiar faces and getting to know the rest of you. So let's smoke. as I live and breathe. I had to do a double-take then rub my eyes like they do in cartoons. I even contemplated pinching myself. how the hell have you been, Dave?

You are most welcome here. BTW, I spent much time in Trinity National Forest in the 1960s. Hiking, camping, hunting. Used to spend time in Hoopa when it was mostly Native. I may have had a Bigfoot encounter one night while camped. Something really big as crashing around in the brush at night. Probably was guys from the Rez playing a joke on the "white eyes" but has made for a great story around the campfires ever since. Beautiful area!
