Worked in the yard all day yesterday and stirred up a lot of mold repairing a canopy that covers the lawn equipment. Also blew a few hundred bushels of leaves off the back porch. Hence, I am back on the asthma meds for the first time in years and have a sore throat. So no pipes yesterday, today, and probably not tomorrow either. Best wishes Ron. On a brighter note,,,I was accosted, asaulted, down right InvadeD ! In truth I had a cop a walmart pull in to ask about me pipe. He's a cigar smoker and I've been chatting him up about pipes for over a year. edit: I'm smoking more of my "BB" blend in an unmarked DG

Garage roof blew off this morning. 4K estimate. Screw it. I pulled out my John Surrey 1950's Snow Apple and stuffed it in the Lady Margaret cob. I have had no tobacco in regards to apple aro that even compares. This smells like fresh apples and tastes the same. Probably going to treat myself to King Charles later. This day is all about me. Me. Me.

Haven't found an apple yet worth its salt. Insurance will cover minus deductible and repairs that may have been needed prior.

My second (and probably my last) smoke of the day was half a flake (Fribourg & Treyer Cut Blended Plug) in the same little bulldog I smoked this morning. Spent the day reglazing, sanding, caulking some windows--paint tomorrow....

I enjoyed John Cotton's Smyrna while hiking today. I passed two women on the trail, one of whom remarked it was a great day for a hike with a pipe. A few steps after we passed each other, the same woman unexpectedly turned around and remarked, "That smells great!"
On the way back to the trailhead, however, a pair of younger girls did not seem to care for the aroma of HH Old Dark Fired from the MM Diplomat when they asked me to capture photos of the two.
Apparently smoking a pipe makes a man more approachable, even if he carries bear spray and straps a great, big revolver to his chest.

Larsen Signature from scrooge in a actually finished Ukrainian Bent Brandy Carved wood grain style. I have seen several good comments on this tobacco and it's no wonder. It is mild with many flavors blended, but you can spend time picking out each one. I swear I am getting something akin to an herbal honey in this

I'm enjoying a sample of Vintage Edgeworth Sliced in an MM Mark Twain. (Thanks Dan!) It's a fantastic smoke and I can see why the popularity was so high!
