Nice bowl of C&D Red Odessa again in my #1 stack. Smoking this a lot to decide if I want to load up on it. It's reminding me of my Recherchě du Tobac Perdu, Balkan Sobranie.

Now smoking MacBaren Three Nuns in a 2003 medium bend straight grain Viggo Nielsen sitter with a Cumberland-like acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink. ...you are an "eclectic" fellow, Jim, in terms of tobacco... we might be brothers of a different mother... Could well be, man.

Country Squire White Rose, courtesy of a trade with @lady Margret. A nice, soft, sweet blend - but the floral element ("Lakeland"-like according to the description) is so far in the background it kind of defeats the purpose of having a floral blend... Still, totally pleasant, and one of the few Burley-forward blends that doesn't seem harsh, bitter, and bitey to me.

Relaxing after a wonderful baked ziti dinner with a bowl of the tremendously delicious Edgeworth Slices in a 1984 medium bend black grain etched Savinelli Non Pareil 9310 poker with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Wish I had a lot of tins of this in the cellar, but a friend graciously sent me a sample to smooth my soul.

Sutliff Holiday Match in a cob. My new blend for my room. It doesnt seem to linger at all.
Really noticing lately how I can taste that corn essence when I smoke cobs (especially new ones) And I have to wonder if that may an added bonus if smoking a bourbon topped blend.

Now smoking Sam Gawith Best Brown in a straight 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite stem. Working and listening to The Beatles Channel. Stormy pooped out from all the rain he's been making, but his brother Bubba sure is taking up his slack tonight. I know Bubba likes perique, but does he always have to cry about it?

CCP in a CCP! Trying to play catch-up on open blends. I need to place a framed photograph of my dear old Grandmother on my tobacco shelf to remind me "If you finish that tin, you may open another"
Probably my last pipe for the night.
Take care, all.

Just popped a tin of C&D Autumn Evening and am smoking some in a MM Legend cob. I have some water and a dram of Famous Grouse on the side. Autumn Evening is tasting a bit sour to me, which I didn't expect. I smoked Lakelands in this pipe previously and that might be causing the sourness. I definitely can taste and smell the maple in the smoke, but it's mild and not overpowering.

John Cotton's Smyrna in an Amphora X-Tra Dublin.
Thankfully, I caught a break between rain/snow/sleet/whatever storms. I am amazed by the joy and tranquility afforded by a tasty blend in a pipe that smokes well.
I am so thankful right now.

I've read that you can get that corn taste with a new cob, but haven't experienced that myself. It would seem that they should go well with a corn based whiskey.

Good morning, you all. First smoke on this Friday/public holiday; W. Ø. Larsen's 'Old Fashioned' in a Stanwell no. 213 - Sixtus, designed by Tom Eltang. He designed six pipes in the 'Sixtus' series, the shank is six-panelled and the name is a tribute to Sixten Ivarsson.
