I'm not the most prolific of posters,not even in the class of average.
Quite often I read a thread and have a comment skitter across my
brain,only to lose it somewhere between there and the keyboard.
I also deal with a repressive depression and that doesn't help.
I will often try to hide my confusion with inane comments.But what
I think of as a funny comment is a digression from the thread and
falls flat.So I guess what I'm asking in this paragraph of twaddle is
"Do you ever think your brain has been hacked by a silly teen
who looks at Justin Beaver as a hero?"

I'm much the same. I'm bipolar and soaked through with anxietal issues. Most of what I say is in an effort to make myself laugh. It's a bit of a treat when other people end up laughing. As far as on topic... I'd like to think that threads on a pipe smoking forum have room for thought and humour, because if everything was staunchly pipe-related without deviation, I wouldn't be here. In other words- post-on, bud. You'll never hear any complaint from me.

Oh,Please don't misunderstand.I deal with my inner demons
quietly with pipe in hand.I try to present a joyful attitude
for those I encounter.I just feel guilty for not posting more.
There have been threads that I wanted to join in,but I'm an
opinionated a-hole.I have restrained my posts simply because
I don't like/want heated discussions.We come here to have fun,
learn,and share.I in no way wish to detract from that.I do
appreciate the kind words.Also wish to add that I do still
remember where the RR is.(WC for our English minded members)
I just needed to ramble a bit.Please feel free to "Talk Smack"
about Okies or Rednecks.But without us Kansas and Texas would
be procreating.

Matthew, what you're thinking/feeling may not be what everyone feels, but I can relate. One night when I was working (20 years ago) I told my boss (friend) that I was depressed. He asked how I could be cutting up all night. That's the way I coped. Push forward: I'm in pain 24/7 and my options are OTC or "legal" narcotics prescribed. I had my use of them. Now I use OTC and deal with the pain. It's used to be a question of good days vs. bad days. Now every day is "how bad is it", as it never leaves. But I like being a goof. It does help me deflect from pain. I do my best through prayer and just thinking about things to be more like my goofy nature and less like the base person I sometimes feel like inside. I am thankful for the pipe, as it is the least of all the meds I take (I take many for other conditions). My one internal rule is to try to not let things get in the way of being nice. That is a rule I fall short of, as many of you have seen. You are definitely not alone in this club. David |

I think we all post as much as we can given life and personal circumstances, and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't keep up with the WAYS thread etc., but do try to check in every day.
Most of us are probably opinionated a-holes, which is why the no politics rule is so important. We like each other a lot more that way! And having you on the forum practically makes me feel like an FOG since we were both around over at Puff!

I apologize for this turning into something of a
lament.I was actually trying to poke a bit of fun
at my memory.Not that I'm forgetful just easily
distracted.Kind of like DT's "Still Here" thread.
I'm still here and checking in,just being a
little discerning about my responses.
