I gotta go with K & K. Under a lot of different brands they put out some very good blends. Plus lots of their lines have really nice tin art.

I've smoked Stonehaven fresh, aged, and REALLY aged. Aging makes it a bit different, but not really by much and I didn't find the change an improvement, so don't age it if you want to smoke it now. Not everything improves with age. Is artificial long-term aging the next frontier in pipe tobacco blending? Wow! Excellent question... and with an already somewhat built-in forgone conclusion ...Yes: many aged tobaccos go into blends before tinning; also, at home, I have ovened/stoved many tins for hours @220f in order to achieve what only long aging could, with added sweetness to boot. Other time machine aging methods exist, but are beyond my metaphysical grasp at present.

zambini. I am a bit hesitant to predict, but you might like any of the 6 light English blends. The Natural blends are quite good and if you need a crowd pleaser, the Vermont Maple is a strong aromatic choice.

MacBaren for me due to variety and quality of the MacBaren and Hearth & Home lines. English, Burley, Va and everything in between is covered. McClelland had no burleys of interest to me. C&D is missing a few niches for me.

We've a blend called Vermont Maple here but it is too sweet and goopy for me.

Jack has a real hand with aromatics and many of them have some nicotine to boot.

I am surprised no Laudisi votes. They produce GLP, Low Country, of course C&D. I chose sutliff because of my cellared tonnage, but C&D alone, with such a variety, should be a major player... not that I have an opinion, mind you

I'm surprised also to see how many are voting 'Other', I'd be glad to hear about the great options out there (@truculentfrogs let me in on an interesting brand that I hadn't heard of).

I don't recall if you can order from SP, but Mike has reviews on that site. I like them because we seem to be chasing the same dragons. If you look at a tobacco on there and he has a positive review it's worth the purchase on that alone.

Might be the majority of my cellar. But I would miss too many favorites choosing them- MacB Acadian Perique, Golden Extra, Vintage Syrian as well as H&H Viprati, Magnum Opus and El Niño combined would put C&D out of the race for me. Everyone seems to be choosing Germain. I feel I would miss a lot of variety with that choice as well.

I wish I enjoyed expanding my taste for tobacco but I've been smoking aged bulk Balkan Supreme and Early Morning Pipe for decades. So I'd say STG.

Easy decision - Cult Blood Red Moon! You've really latched on to that blend! I saw there's a deal for it plus a pipe at P&C.

I changed my vote from Germain's to K&K. A lot more variety, and lots of stuff unavailable in the US. I'm curious to try their Cruise Ship blend and see how it compares to Match Holiday. That one caught my eye, too - mainly because of the tin. They have a few blends that seem to be available only in Europe. They produce the whole line of Ashton blends (which McClelland did over here), and some unusual stuff like McConnell's Red Roses and a cigar one called The Fragrant Blend.

Have to go with Laudisi, because that's C&D I believe. I have more of their tobac than anything else. From the point of view of what would I agonize the most over losing, I pick them. Lot's of other great tobacs out there that I do smoke, but they're my mainstays because I know their stuff best. That may be a slightly divergent point from the original thrust of the poll, but what the hell.

The Fragrant Blend seems kind of on the nose. How would one even market that name? easy, employ billyklubb as a naming consultant. the first name I picked was Flower Farts, but test groups were expecting something other than pipe tobacco. they thought if was a new air freshener for a car.
