Inspired by a true story, The Terror centers on the British Royal Navy’s perilous voyage into unchartered territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other. I Love Nautical related movies, TV shows. Lots of pipe smoking in this one.

This movie might have been based upon the book- The Terror. An excellent read.

I really liked the hornblower series. I hear the lead has been trying to buy the rights for the rest of the books for a while now. He has some time since the Hornblower series goes up to his time as an admiral. Congrats on post 3000 BTW.

I saw the previews for this and I'm definitely intrigued. Especially after they compared it to The Thing- My all-time favourite horror film. Also, I just checked GoodReads and it looks like this is based on the book of the same name. I should probably read it first, eh?
And I'm with you guys- Master and Commander was brilliant. I love anything having to do with that nautical golden age.
Now I wanna listen to Treasure Island or Moby Dick on audiobook while I play through Assassin's Creed Black Flag again.

I would really hope they would do something. Ioan said they made all of the Hornblowers for half of M&C. Which is my issue with that. Because they made one BIG blockbuster they are not likely to get the same actors back, must less another film made from O'Brian's books

The series was made off the book. Lady Margaret ! I found another conspiracy! Several books are out on Franklin, not the least of which is one called... The Franklin Conspiracy! I have more reading for my rabbit hole.

I'm on eppy 9. No surprise what happens, but I just heard the best line of the series. Guy is going off to danger. Captain asks him what he needs. "I've got half a pouch for me last smoke. That's all I need." Actually looks like a Mr. Brog

It can be streamed on Amazon. $25 for the whole show.
Now that I have a Smart TV in the kitchen, I might do just that.
