Just tried some Escudo Navy De Luxe. Wow, really nice. No financial interest but I want to recommend C & C Tobacco Outlet in Ithaca, New York, as a nice little bricks and mortar shop. I had never been there before and was pleasantly surprised. Pretty good small selection of pipe tobacco in tins. A large selection of pouch tobaccos, a handful of pipes. A large walk in cigar humidor. Tiny place. About the only bricks and mortar I know about that doesn't specialize in glassware. They don't even sell any. They have a little table in the corner with a couple of chairs, where you are allowed to smoke indoors. Probably the only place in Ithaca that allows it. I got my Escudo Navy De Luxe there, and payed $24.00 for a 50g tin. Probably high, but I want to support places like this. I also got some Samuel Gawith Perfection and Balkian Sasieni to try. Woo hoo! Those that like the pouch blends will be in heaven. Support your local bricks and mortar, and even those an hour's drive away.

I enjoyed C&D Virginia Gentleman in a Torben Dansk Brage on a beautiful small town Nebraska evening. Had Greek food for Cinco de Mayo. End of a long but good day. My daughter graduated college today. She is third oldest of my kids, but the first to get a degree. My son graduates Saturday and is getting married this summer.

Good evening from Greece, we had rain this afternoon here in Athens. In memory of Cretan Elias Spadidakis, or as he was known, Louis Tikas, he was staged a statue in the town of Trinidad, Colorado, USA. Luis Tikas was murdered by the Colorado National Guard on April 20, 1914, during the long labor strike at the Rockefeller mines in Ludlow, near the town of Trinidad, south of the state. The official unveiling of the statue is scheduled for June 23rd. The unveiling will be accompanied by events, while the day will be honored with declarations by the State of Colorado and Denver City.Tonight i raised a glass of wine and a bowl of Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic in my corn cob for my fellow countryman. Woody Guthrie: Ludlow Massacre Sid, that is not far down the road from me here in Colorado. A sad chapter in our State's history. I plan on paying a visit to the massacre sight and will stop at the statue on my way to New Mexico in September.

Stanhill that would be really informative if you can secure a copy of that letter from Robinson to Brakner to review! Keep us posted... Of course I'll keep you posted. I don't foresee any problems getting a copy in one form or the other. (I just started my own little private Brakner research, because I read all over the net, that he changed his last name from 'Micklson'. That is utterly rubbish. No Dane spells it like that. It's 'Mikkelsen'; I just can't help it, but it annoys me every time I read it. I imagine that the misspelling stems from Pipedia, but it's just a guess).
