My first pipe of the day is Dorchester in a Basil Meadows long shank brandy with a brass band and Cumberland stem. I’m drinking a Diet Manhattan Special and going to study now.

After church today and taking care of some "honey-do's" I found my way out onto the course with my neighbor. Started out my smokin day with a few Arturo Fuente 858 Maduros and some Curly heads. We picked up a hitch hiker along the way... After dinner with the fam, and watching a movie on netflix , Nick and I found our way up to the cave and played some chess, had a couple of Coronas and smoked a bowl of SH's Our Best Blend, some 20th Anniversary, Frog Morton on the Bayou and then a bowl of MM965. Nick's now headin to bed, got finals tomorrow, and Jennie and Blondie are already sacked out. Now I'm sittin here listening to Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, playing the acoustic, smokin Bombay Extra in my Lane era Charatan & sippin Glenrothes. You remind me of my dad. He loved his family and he cherished our time together.

Escudo Navy De Luxe in a Stanwell Magica 62 (not a 63 I find on closer inspection). Maybe there is something about Danish tobacco in a Danish pipe, they certainly work well together.

Peter Heinrich's Curly Block, a bonus gift from one our regulars, in a Don Roberto Lancelot Canadian. My first experience with this label and this tobacco. "Select Virginias and a pinch of Perique go into this distinctive offering, which is pressed and fermented for six weeks before being cut into 250 gram "blocks" - the term rods might be more fitting", from Smokingpipes.com. Cool and robust, a nice change from the PS Navy Flake I usually smoke.

Just finishing this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. I believe I read that once or twice before. LOL! You seem to have found a successful combination. For some reason I have never "married" a specific tobacco blend to a specific pipe. There may be a good reason to do that. I am thinking of the perfumed GH lake flakes infusing a specific pipe.

Good evening, you all. One of the evening pipes; Osborne no. 62 in a Savinelli no. 313 - Oscar Bruyère, while I'm trying to gather as much information about Peter Brakner and in turn, his pipe factories, as I possibly can. (Yes, I know it should have been, but the Savinelli was close at hand).
