danno44 Nice pick-up at the recent Chicago Pipe Show Thank you. I first saw it on RobE’s Facebook page, then in person at the IASPC regional slow smoke on Sunday before the show. Once at the show on Saturday, I must ofpicked it up to look at a dozen times. Finally my personal enabler johnlawitzke gave me the added nudge of something like “if you’ll regret not taking it home you need to buy it” or something to that effect. With that and seeing other people picking up to look at, I almost ran to the table and threw money at RobE. ... That's too funny Dan! So, how many times does a piper have to handle a pipe before they pull the trigger? Or, will a visual inspection preclude a handling?

Good Morning, Pipe Dudes! (and Dudette) I am smoking Dunhill Early Morning Pipe in my Savinelli unfinished/finished bent Dublin (quickly becoming one of my favorite briers) with a cup of Rouse's medium roast coffee as I sit on the deck and watch the dog chew on the my wife's Confederate Rose that got beat up buy the cold weather last winter. I should be cutting those branches up and getting rid of them, but, what the hell, it is a nice morning and I'll get to it later. This is my first taste of EMP and I am enjoying it thoroughly. It is a very nice, mild, English blend that is easy on the Latakia-that suits me well. .

So, how many times does a piper have to handle a pipe before they pull the trigger? Or, will a visual inspection preclude a handling? For me and this pipe, too many times. I should have just bought it the Sunday before the show and avoided all self induced drama...I had a self imposed “no more new pipes until I sell off what I don’t smoke” rule....now I have a new pipe AND still need to sell some, it’s an illness...

5 year old MacBaren Scottish mixture in a Don Warren freehand...great combo! How did it taste compared to one made today..? I recently smoked a pouch of their 9-year Jubilee tobacco and I must confess that I couldn't taste any difference. Might be because of my withered tastebuds though.

Now smoking Rich Dark Flake in a straight sandblasted black billiard 2013 PSF POY Kaywoodie with an amber colored lucite stem. Suzy and Molly just had big fight about something. Molly occasionally attacks Suzy when she's bored, and Suzy really doesn't like to wrestle or fight much. This time, she got mad at Molly being a pest, and they really got into it. Suzy ended up walking off, and Molly started chasing her down the hall looking for more. The girl never gives up.

A mid-evening smoke; 'Three Nuns' in a Jeantet de Luxe - Reserve du Jubilé 1816-1951. I much prefer Mac Baren's 'Three Nuns' to My Own Blend's '3 Nonner', I'd say.

Rarest Brimstone - Khan's Wrath in the Todd Harris Rusticated Bent Brandy. It's a boutique blend that smokes cool and smooth. Here's his web page: 901stjames.com/product/rarest-brimstone-khans-wrath/ and, he's suppose to be dropping some fresh stuff in on Saturday 05/12, 12PM/CST. Its sort of a hit and miss thing... Enjoy your day pipers
