Drucquer & Sons Blairgowrie in a Ben Wade. Iced tea on a humid south Alabama afternoon.... Very nice, I've been looking at some of the Ben Wade pipes lately. Might be my year clean present to myself. Kid wants smores, so while I'm making a fire, it's another cob full of Black House, a little more dry time on this one.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of D&R Windsail Silver in a 1983 Ben Wade Duo 65 smooth Poker with a black vulcanite stem. This will get me to dinner time. Getting set to watch the Braves-Marlins game.

Relaxing after a wonderful porchetta dinner with country style baked beans and cinnamon apple slices. Had a hot fudge sundae for dessert. Now smoking one the best durn blends ever made: Strang in a 2003 smooth medium bend straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera Dublin and a black acrylic stem. Braves and Marlins are scoreless in the third inning.

I haven’t had all week because of running back-and-forth to the hospital. Just packed some velvet and I’m gonna sit on the deck with a scotch and pipe

First smoke in a while - trying Boswell's Raspberry Cream for the first time, in a cob. Not my favorite Boz blend by a longshot. All those reviewer words like "monochromatic" and "flat" spring to mind. I'm wondering if I might even prefer Lane's Black Raspberry (blasphemy!), though it's been a while since I smoked any. I may try blending this with some Boz Chocolate Cream.

Sweet cask in the k. Anastopoulos bent egg with stunning grain and a beautiful bloodwood accent topped off with a swirly cumberland stem. Drinking a root beer from culvers and listening to the rain.

Now smoking the last of this sample of McClelland Organically Grown Flake in a 2002 smooth natural straight silver banded Ardor Venere Extra Fatta A Mano Maigret billiard, signed by Dorelio Rovera and a black acrylic stem.
The site is running a little slow this evening. Anybody else having that problem?
