Well-aged SG Full Virginia Plug... IMO, superior to the flake... sweeter, milder, more concentrated in flavor. Benchmark Virginia! That's exactly what I would say about Kendal Plug vs. Best Brown Flake. Where can you get Full Virginia Plug? I will need to try some for sure.

Enjoyed an apple and dried apricots snack, and my last smoke for the day is Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite stem.

I woke up early (4am) and we watched Grey Gardens with Jessica Lange and Dew Barrymore.
I’m beginning my pipe smoking Saturday with Presbyterian in a 2007 Peterson St. Patrick’s Day bent billiard with a sterling silver band and vulcanite stem.

Sounds like a good plan Sam. That’s great. I’m going to find out what’s available from our friend in Germany. I will pm you with the information. If you think anyone else is interested, let them know.

Waiting for Alberto, smoking an Alberto (Bonfiglioli). I have no Italian tobacco so I am burning some Fribourg & Treyer Cut Blended Plug. As they keep nudging the cone eastward, it is looking like Artistik might get more of the storm than I will. Looks to be a big rainmaker......

Just finishing this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. A bottle of Boylan's Birch Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Had a tasty lunch, and am waiting for the Braves-Red Sox game. Raining hard outside.

About a quarter of the way through this bowl of Wingfield Mixture in a smooth straight 1980s James Upshall Walnut pot with a black vulcanite stem. Haven't smoked it in many years, but I sure do remember the taste. Nice, comfortable blend. Watching the Braves-Red Sox game, and deciding what pipes to try out 4 new-to-me Wilke blends that I got today.

Started the day with HH ODF in my cuspidor stack. Now smoking C&D Byzantium in my bent egg. Confirmation from my wife why I like Byzantium - she said," I can tell why you like that so much, it smells just like that Balkan Sobranie crap you used to smoke."
