Okay I just got around to start watching the episodes I TIVOed last week and damn do I like this show! Classic police show of the 70's! This ranks right up there Police Story.. The Rookies.... Yeah the Decades binge is a wonderful thing to Tivo!

Great show I grew up watching. Funny how soon I forgot this was Jed Clampett. Buddy Ebsen was really great as a PI.

Barnaby Jones, Matlock, Cannon, and Ironside, they weren't exactly pandering to the youth market, back then.

One of my favorites was the "Rockford Files" Did you ever see the episode(s) with Tom Selleck as "Lance White"? Pretty funny. At about 13 seconds you get the flavor of it....

Maybe I just caught the last season of Barnaby Jones, but Buddy Ebsen seemed too old to be an active PI. Then again, I was just a kid - everyone seemed old.

Some of them shows I watch for the storyline,
but using a car door as a ballistic shield where the bullets spark off the doors is silly...I remember frank Cannon bringing down a cessna plane that had just gone airborne and flew overhead, one shot from what appeared to be a Chief special snubby revolver.

Frank Cannon had the car phone that I thought was soo cool as a kid!

I visualize the 4 that I mentioned in a 100 Yard dash. Considering his wheels, Ironside would probably win.

Not sure about Barnaby Jones, but The Beverly Hillbillies is one of the funniest sitcoms ever.
