.....When It Owns Fox? www.nytimes.com/2018/04/25/business/media/smoking-movies-disney-fox.htmlReading the story, Disney doesn't want to declare on anti smoking going forward...you can either surmise that once the deal is closed, Disney's policy would be implemented across the board. Or...they wanted to run it as a separate entity so they could have the artistic freedom. The rabid anti smokers are going to have none of that. Jono Polansky is leading the charge, a little insight into him..he graduated from Chapel Hill and Stanford with a degree in fiction writing, them skills should serve him well in his goals..... ..his Rhino article posted on Linked in is also revealing....it is the first hit on Google search. www.google.com/search?q=Jono+Polansky&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiHye3EzoDbAhXBdN8KHUgcApgQ_AUICSgA&biw=1366&bih=637&dpr=1To me the guy more likely represents a parasite, latches onto the rump of a host to infect it...He must be a real treat to be around. What really gets me, is why corporations that are worth hundreds of billions of dollars don't spend a few seconds to research who they are dealing with and treat them accordingly?

I wonder what it's going to do about the previous films. I'm pretty sure Pinocchio has a lot of smoking in the scene just before they turn into donkeys.

...ironic, because Walt smoked a pipe in the early years, later, cigarettes... and Disneyland had a tobacco shop on main street until '91...

The cat..Tom..in Tom and Jerry cartoons smoked...I'm told that those scenes have been deleted.I guess those of who smoke are some how a bad influence on this peaceful world that we live in.

...of course, we have to remember that we live in the future now, and Disney isn't Walt anymore... it's run by *politically correct* corporate weenies...

Disney is garbage now. Just another studio. One more place in the world where the magic has died. Remember those kids on Pinocchio? Turning into donkeys and playing pool while smoking cigars?! Horrifying when I was three. I loved it.

Without Walt and Roy there is no "Disney".
The last decent picture produced by Disney was "The Black Hole", 1979 or so.
The PBS series "American Experience" made a great two part documentary on our Uncle Walt. Worth watching.

I volunteer and am a member of The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. Without Roy, Walt would not have been able to realize his dreams.

Another stupid trend . . . Where would Popeye be without his pipe? Maybe Olive Oyl would’ve ended up with Wimpy.

Speaking of Disney... Has anyone seen these photoshopped pictures of Walt that Disneyland put on display? Unbelievable. Fascists love to rewrite history. He must be spinning in his grave. Disney as a company died long ago. link
