I ran across an informative website that lists recently passed smoking ban laws in the US, such as restaurants, sidewalks, beaches, parks, etc. It is frequently updated and one can do a search for their city or state. But be warned- it's depressing seeing so many bans being passed so quickly, especially the ridiculous outdoor smoking bans. How long until one won't be able to legally smoke in the privacy of their own home? This is a war on our most basic freedoms and rights. Link

Very sad, but when the FDA succeeds in putting the remaining pipe tobacco companies out of business, these laws will be a moot point.

The sad thing is that the majority of the public doesn’t smoke, so they are willing to allow this type of encroachment.
Mob mentality vs respect for individual liberties.

Unfortunately the dissipation of liberties isn’t only limited to us. The fact that people are ok with this boggles my mind. I guess I should stop now. I don’t want to turn this into a political debate.
