Smoking some few year old (at least) Sutliff Private Stock CD in the scrooge Rhodesian. I should keep this hush hush, but I am spent for another month. JimInks told me about CD being Country Doctor a while back. I think P&C still gets it in bulk, but Iwan Reis has at least one 8 ounce tin left. When you open the tin you can tell it's been in the womb for a while. Dust was on the top plastic lid, btw. Warmed my heart. The Man from INKS has the review nailed down. I have never had the original, but the slight sweetness came through immediately. I take all Jim's advice to heart and remember it for when I need it. May not totally agree 100% of the time but I have yet to be disappointed. This is staying great down the bowl. Folks, Matriculate over to Iwan's place because if it's still available in a day or two I am going to find another idiot credit card company to loan me some jack... and it will be gone!

Match Presbyterian all day followed by Match Holiday as a final smoke. I guess I'm not too keen on variety.

Almost finished smoking the original year 2011 McClelland Blue Mountain that won second place in the Chicago Pipe Show Balkan Sobranie 759 contest in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a brown pearl acrylic stem. Taking a short work break to feed Suzy and Molly, who were meowing in four part harmony in my ears. Had to cave in, ya know!

I really like CD Blend. I have an unopened 8 ounce tin of it still. It's sad that once it's gone, there is no more.

Not a good start to the day here. Had a bad night trying to sleep because the AC is acting up. It's blowing air, just not cool air. It did the same thing about a month ago before it magically fixed itself. I have taken the necessary steps of shutting down the crypto miners which are like space heaters when on, further complicating the issue, and a call is in to the landlord.
Waking up with my usual coffee and my own version of PH Curly Special in a Diplomat Apple as I need to clean some Cobblers. That is about 80% PH Curly Block and about 20% PH Golden Sliced. This is not something I planned out, nor is it a regular smoke, although it could be. It's just what was scraped together from leftovers on the cutting board.

I concluded yesterday with a combo of SJF/FVF in Don Warren freehand sitter with a plateau rim and butterscotch acrylic stem.
Today, I’m starting with 2007 McClelland Black Sea Sokhoum in a Missouri Meerschaum Mark Twain cob. My drink is a Diet Coke on the rocks.
