Special pipe for special occasions..... G. L. Pease Jackknife Plug date on tin 5/2011 Pipe of choice: this is a pipe and tamper I made in 2016. I purchased the briar at a pipe show. I was told by the seller it was part of a collection that was found in a old storage unit that belonged to Ben Wade. Also the piece was 20 years pre- WWII Algerian briar. I don’t know if I really bought the story but I’m glad I purchased the piece because it’s an excellent smoker 👍👍👍 The contrasting set I call The Melting Pot and The Melting Candle. very cool!

Just had my first bowl of C&D Belmont Station in a Bones bent ball. Dark Rum & Vanilla and very tasty. The rum is very forward and this is a good good example of a non goopy C&D aromatic. Sipping brought out the flavors nicely. Burned slowly (a mid size bowl lasted well over one hour) to a dry gray ash with no wet dottle. I like Belmont Station too. The first minute or two is a little perfumy, but that goes away quickly, and it gets better and better as you smoke it.

LJ Peretti British Blend in a Lewis billiard pipe (watching the end of Le Mans). How do you like that, I’ve yet to try it ? I like their English no. 110, Royal, Omega and my favorite is Tashkent, although that’s more of an Oriental. Their burleys are also nice, and No 8 Slice is one of my many rotation blends.

Lane Andullo dated 2016...for me this is a hidden jem! Smokes both cool and smooth and no bite if pushed. The toppings are way in the background.I’ve smoked both the Dominican & Brazilian versions and this is one blend nailed @ 3.5 STARS 👍👍👍 Burns to a clean white ash with little moisture on the bottom. After all of my pipes get a good chamber cleaning after each use. Easy, just roll up a half sheet of paper towel and clean the chamber with leaving a smooth dry finish.
Pipe of choice: a custom Cob I made a while back using a Country Gentleman bowl. Great combo.
I’m visiting with my daughter which is about 7 miles from where I live with my son and family. Just received a phone call from my son “ Happy Father’s Dad, we are on our way to the beach. Have a great day “! WOW....that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside....well really like $hit! I think I’ll stay by my daughter’s for another full week.

LJ Peretti British Blend in a Lewis billiard pipe (watching the end of Le Mans). How do you like that, I’ve yet to try it ? I like it. It's a classic English blend that burns well and has an array of flavors that act in concert. I'm still working through the subleties but I recommend the blend. PM me your address and I'll send you a few bowls to try.

Glad your up and about. the Padron Anniversario Series cigars have always been my number one choice, even over authentic Cuban cigars. NEVER had a bad draw from a Padron, and the flavor can't be beat. I have been friends with the Padron family for over 35 years. Sadly, the Padron patriarch, Jose, passed away not too long ago. I will miss him greatly, but will always keep a hardy supply of Padrons in the humidor in his honor.

Watching Mexico vs Germany in the World cup. Smoking PS Luxury Twist Flake in a C Pipes unfinished morta poker. This tobacco is from 2010. Aging this tobacco has really improved on the overall flavor. It has developed bold, rich, tobacco flavors over time. Not that it is less enjoyable when the tobacco is young, it is definitely a great smoke right out of a fresh box. But aging this tobacco gives it BIGGER flavor overall over time. As for the pipe, I got it unfinished, so the oils from my hand has darkened it over time. I like how this pipe has become darker from handling. Gives it a rugged look. This is what the pipe looked like when new.

I really like the pipe and you have 2 choices of stems 👍. Don’t know if I’d ever try Captain 👩✈️ Black Grape??? I grew up on the Original blend. Your thoughts on the 🍇 Grape 🍇?
