I normally reserve my blue pipes for strong aromatics. Yesterday i grabbed the wrong pipe for a long drive, and smoked a bowl of C&D Billy Budd Blonde in a pipe whose cake was made by Cult Blood Red Moon.
I was kind of nice actually. Not strong by any means, and mostly just a hint of cherry in the smell. I might even do this on purpose from time to time.
It is kind like in my youth I hated pickles and I would remove them from my fast food burgers. But you could still taste a little leftover pickle juice, and actually, I grew to kind of liked that subtle hint of pickle. Later i would add just a touch of pickle juice to the bun of my grilled burgers. Yum.

Enjoyed a tasty grilled ham and cheese sandwich, and am now smoking MacBaren Mystery Blend in a 2018 smooth straight flame grain Basil Meadows Merchant Service "Bing" replica with an aluminum band and black ebonite stem. A can of the very delicious Hansen's Mandarin Line soda made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Watching the Yankees-Tigers game, and getting ready to clean a few pipes.

Macbaren: Symphony in a Camisa* smooth bent Apple. Coffee refill.
* Camisa is Portuguese for 'Shirt' - who names a pipe that? Italian, it looks very Brebbia, but haven't found a connection. Smokes VG.

I did smoke the correct Amphora this time, in a polished Mark Twain with bent amber stem, sipped Cherry coke.

Fired up the Hardcastle this afternoon with some Lane Ready Rubbed.
Just tried the Lane Ready Rubbed this past weekend for the first time. I was surprised at how good it actually is!

It's 10:45 PM here and still so hot and humid that I barely have the strength to bung some HH 'Pure Virginia' in my Georg Jensen no. 31 - Brass Band, let alone lighting it... Here we go... Yes, I see smoke..!

Both the Professor and I are honoured, M'Lady. As you can see, he's tickled pink.
You're most welcome. Indeed; Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Pipe Smokers.
My library/smoking den faces eastwards, but it doesn't mean much in way of cooling. Not at the moment, anyway. lol! he is indeed tickled pink. And it is an honor to be a Peculiar Pipe Smoker! hoping cooling breezes come your way! Yes, it sure is an honour.
We had some wind in the afternoon; just enough that the trees outside my window were doing the Fandango, but alas, it was soon over.
