Thanks Brad, yeah my mother and father and my fathers father were all quite artistic. I never did that great at painting but I did like creating art with traditional B&W photography.
I get the feeling that you get from that painting of camping in the rain. (something I did many years ago) Amazing the response we get from art more than words sometimes.
Oh yeah, Brad reminded me that I'm known as orley on another forum, so I've changed my username to orley. Sorry for any confusion.

Epic wall art, bonanza. The vintage signs with patina are fantastic.

I know this is a bit of a "Zombie Thread Resurection".... But, really didn't know where else to post this. As you can see from all of the previous pics posted here, I pretty much have every available space on the mancave walls covered with the various replica tin signs I've acquired over the years. Last week my youngest son, Nick, brought me a sign for the mancave. It was an old No Smoking sign he saw in the the trash can at work. I found the perfect place for it.... Above the door going out of the mancave. Seemed fitting, being that Blondie isn't too keen on me smokin my baccy downstairs in the main part of our (HER) house. ;-)

thanx all, most enjoyable views. Can't contribute, my indoor "smoking room" behind kitchen, mostly windows, more a "store area" for wife's (to me) clutter. No useable camera + wouldn't have a clue how to transfer the "images" to the computer. Even hit "search", most of the words..gibberish

Browsing Art Estate Sale I came across this, AD Greer, painted for Jimmy Rogers, Lindenberg, and Lyndon Johnson, it was a quick sale , no frame, wife likes roses , bought it for her.

I've been taking photos of the North Coast and putting them up. So far I've got these on my walls... Those are beautiful! Another talent of Dr. Fr. Andre!

Cheers Ron and Bradley. One room will be dedicated to landmarks. The one of giant's causeway and dark hedges (from game of thrones) will be joined with one of Dunluce castle and one of murlough Bay (also games of thrones).

We are still unpacking and yet to decide on any new art. We have a few that we know we will put up, including my late sister's oil painting of bluebonnets on the Texas prairie, my pipe picture above and a couple of Klimpts. I want to take some pictures of the new area. It's really scenic, but completely different from the dramatic coast of Northern Ireland.

Looking forward to seeing them.

The Briarwood Pipe by Winslow Homer. That looks like French Zouave soldiers. Awesome pictures, Andre! What a beautiful array of contrasts, of the Emerald Isle!

If the soldiers are indeed smoking briarwood pipes at that time, I believe that it would predate the claim of briar pipes being made in St. Claude. It certainly seems feasible, since Algerian briar was so plentiful at that time.

It certainly seems feasible, since Algerian briar was so plentiful at that time. I don't know about that, but I liked it from the first time I saw it. I study it sometimes, and wonder. It's available on Amazon, framed or not at a good price.
