A late welcome from Steamy South Georgia Nice to meet you!!! Back in the mid 70’s I lived in Stone Mountains GA off Memorial Drive then had a house built in Covington GA on Brown Bridge Road. You have some fabulous catfish in GA and the days of hunting wild boar. Those suckers are FAST!!! |

We have a catfish pond within walking distance. There's also hogs everywhere around here. I'm so far down in south Georgia that I'm within walking distance from Florida.
I spent the first 14 years of my life as a yankee up in Michigan, the next 21 enjoying life in the south. Haven't decided where I'll spend the rest of it... so I'll stick with the heat, gnats, mosquitoes, catfish and hogs for a bit longer.
Hogs are fast, plentiful and best of all, delicious. Down here they get hunted with hounds, curr dogs and Bulldogs. Would hate to be on the receiving end of either one of those. My hog hunting adventures were short lived. Fishing will be in my blood forever.
