Okay, I’m right handed. However, after smoking a pipe for almost 50 years my brain only allows me to enjoy smoking a pipe on the left side of my mouth. I’ve tried a few times smoking on the right side and it’s not the same for me, it’s almost impossible!!!
Anybody here AMBERPIPEROUS???..........I know, it’s a word I made up but y’all get the gist of it.

I am ambipiperous - I smoke from both sides of my mouth. I tend to prefer the right side though (I'm right-handed).

I also mostly clench on the left side, but frequently on the right. I guess I'm semi-ambipipeperous.

Same as Ron, but sometimes I give my tummy a treat and do some navel clenching. Only works with innies

I am as adept at smoking from both sides of my mouth as I am from speaking, and sometimes forked-tongue take center stage... 😜

I'm ambidextrous... I can write sod all with both hands. Seriously, I'm right handed, and right piped. Although I occasionally go left every 4-5 puffs.

I’m left handed and smoke on the right side of my mouth. Sometimes, I move it to the left side, but it feels strange.

… I'm kind of a right-brained person and tend to smoke more on the left side of the mouth when clinching. However, I do switch over to the right side of my mouth too. When holding my pipe, I smoke more from the left side to the middle of my mouth. I'm sure a psychiatrist would have a field day with all this information

Right handed, often left hand grip. Make a conscious effort to smoke, left, center and right as it is good insurance in regard to tongue fatigue.

Right handed, and as much as I try to smoke on the right side to change it up...I move it back to the left side. So, you're not the only.

I'm right handed but smoke on the left side and hold my pipes in my left hand. Never really thought about it until now.

I'm right handed but hold my pipe with my left hand and left side of my mouth. It's probably because 90% of the time I'm doing more than just smoking a pipe. Gardening, reading, working in the shed, etc... my dominate hand is usually busy. It feels odd to put the pipe on the right side of my mouth.

I thought years ago I might have had a mini stroke and have right frontal lobe damage....😀😀

While I clench on both sides, I am right handed and find myself having a more comfortable feeling when it's on the left, so it tends to be there more often than not.

I'm ambimouthous; left side, right side and middle and hold my pipes in either hand, no preferences. I'm left-handed. So was Einstein. Just sayin'.

I do good just finding my mouth ! Poked myself in the cheek and eye, once in the nose.
Seriously though,it depends on if I'm busy. If I'm writing or typing I need my right hand free.If I just relaxing it will depend on if I'm alone or chatting some poor fool up.The pipe will always be on the side away from my visitor. Kind of protecting it.
I think your question needs a bit more qualifier though. Do you Clench on one side or both,or if you don't clench which side of your mouth gets more workout.I don't clench, so I tend to move my pipe around alot.

Especially with a shorter ( nosewarmer ) in length pipe. If I’m sitting outside on a armchair I do use only my left hand to hold a pipe.

I tend to prefer the left side, but i like to switch sides around mid-bowl. I'm a clencher, and the right side isn't quite as comfortable as the left. But, I guess I'm mostly ambipierous.

Right handed, hold the pipe in my left hand - gotta keep the shifting, shooting, computer mousing, fiddling hand free, don't ya know. ;-)

I find my 7-tooth upper partial is more comfy with pipe in right side, but, depending on thickness of Lucite stem...sometimes better on left. Seldom in middle of mouth. Am right-handed.

I smoke all across my mouth. Same here. Clenching: Used to be left until I broke a crown, took quite a while getting used to clenching on the right hand side.
