I know ya'll don't watch Mexican soap operas but in terms of US TV I recently saw The Ranch. It's nice to see Debra Winger again. I sometimes watch a few minutes of telenovelas. I do enjoy the old movies with Pedro Armendariz and Maria Felix.

If your a Sam Elliott fan and have Netflix I suggest watching The Ranch. You’ll get a number of laughs throughout the series. I’m NOT a big TV watcher but I really enjoyed this series.

Watching "The Expanse". I really enjoy the show. It has been very entertaining this season. I give it an 8/10. It's strength is in the special effects and the story, more so than the acting, although some of that has been pretty good. Seems to vary quite a bit, depending on the character and actor. I've has The Expanse on my watchlist for a while. I'll have to check it out. "The Terror" was excellent. Some of the acting between pairs of actors was among the most engaging I have ever seen on TV. My wife and I, both loved it. Jared Harris is always fun to watch. I agree. The terror was very well done.

Watched a couple of episodes once they landed and began hauling. I feel disconnected. I have read the book twice so the story is known. It is a brilliant story.

Season 3 of shooter is now on Netflix. I've watched the first two seasons and they are very good. Looking forward to season 3.
If you like the film then you should like the series.

I don't know if anybody would call it a series but the new pup and I spent yesterday bonding and watching a Jessie Stone marathon an the Hallmark Channel. Ran back to back episodes all day late into the evening. I'd already seen a couple episodes but the ones I hadn't were really good. Some pretty dark plot lines but they're a great watch. Best stuff Tom Selleck ever did IMHO.

Supposedly, there's one last episode of Jesse Stone in the works to come out later this year. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it and how things end.

I'm relatively new to cable, Wifi and the other good stuff. I've been on free TV since the late 80s but this one does sound very interesting. I just read about it and would be interested to catch it from the beginning so as not to miss anything.

I've watched all of the episodes of The Danny Thomas Show, The Real McCoys (forget about season 6). and Car 54 Where Are You. Also, You Bet Your Life, Games Shows like Hollywood Squares, etc. All free, though you do have to watch some ads.

Growing up I saw all them shows free on my old black and white TV. We had to watch them with ads as well. Some things never change.

Watched the new season of Endeavor last night and enjoyed it as much as ever. Shaun Evans is perfect as the young Morse and this concept really works. This show has legs and could run for many seasons if the writing maintains it's high standard.

Even with cable, most of what I still watch is stuff I could get free on Antenna TV, METV and COZI. The Real McCoys is on Sunday morning right before back to back episodes of Alias Smith and Jones on COZI. Actually, the only reason I went back to cable is there's too much white noise here in subdivision land for my old antenna to pick up the free stations I was able to in the hinterlands. The HD isn't as good either on the same TVs. Go figure? I'm going to get a lot more college games in the fall and winter on TV rather than radio which I'll enjoy; however, that's really about the only thing I'm going to get from this deal as near as I can figure.

Same here...We cancelled our 'cable' cos all we did was channel hop. I'm more than satisfied with Netflix / Amazon and our free-to-air stuff (not that I watch any of that).

I just realised, I forgot about stranger things. Did anyone watch it? It took me back to the 80s. I found it to be like the goonies and alien's lovechild. Top class stuff from the Duffer brothers.

Great description of a great show - even without the 80s nostalgia element (which puts some people off). My wife and I watched Goonies the other night. She'd never seen it, and all I can say is that Stranger Things is so much better.

Just finished the entire series of Criminal Minds that’s been released on Netflix. Now I’m up to date and will wait until another year has been posted. Also finished the last season of The Ranch on Netflix, which is a pretty funny show, hoping it’s renewed for another season.

Finished all 9 Seasons of Maigret and enjoyed every episode. Did some research and was saddened to learn that Bruno Cremer, who chain smoked cigars died of Tongue Cancer, albeit at age 81.

We're on #6 of a 6-part Netflix documentary series about the Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, Wild, Wild Country. A very well-made series that keeps you riveted for the whole 6 hours. It's so balanced that you find yourself switching sides in the story multiple times, then throwing up your arms with the realization that human beings just love to embroil themselves drama and intrigue.
Another good one is the first episode of the new Sacha Baron Cohen series on Showtime, Who Is America? It is very political, but in a non-partisan way. He basically wants to show the diversity of insanity and gullibility in the US today, and in the process he skewers people of all political and social stripes.

The new season of suits is now on Netflix. Going to tuck into that after I finish limitless.
I've loved suits, but not sure how I'm going to like this new season.

I watched this one a while ago. The first two seasons are on Netflix (there is a third season, but it hasn't made it to NF yet). A quirky British show. I guess it is a comedy, but it is very understated. Great writing and character development. I found myself grinning through each show. It just made me smile. I highly recommend it and give it a 10/10. From Wiki Detectorists is a British single-camera television comedy series which was first broadcast on BBC Four on 2 October 2014. It is written and directed by Mackenzie Crook, who also stars alongside Toby Jones.[1][2] The series is set in the fictional small town of Danebury in northern Essex and the plot revolves around the lives, loves and detecting ambitions of Andy and Lance, members of the Danebury Metal Detecting Club (DMDC). It won a BAFTA award at the 2015 British Academy Television Awards for Television Scripted Comedy.[3] BTW, I know it sounds lame and boring. I thought the same thing, but it's only a half hour show. Just watch one and see what you think. I think most of you will find it worth the time.

Finished the first 7 seasons of Blue Bloods. Now watching season 8 episode 1, I prefer watching full seasons as opposed to waiting a week for the next episode.......CALL ME CRAZY😜😜😜😂. Probably because I was never a TV watcher prior to 2011, the year I retired.

Trivia: Spied Glen Strange playing role of barkeep in an episode of Rawhide last night. This must have been an in-joke, as Gunsmoke was still in production at the time, with 'Sam' tending bar their on a regular basis.

I've been working my way through scrubs. Dr Kelso smokes a pipe quite a few times in it. I'd never noticed before.
